I was thinking about this the other day also, I hope they start playing it again, I want to hear it at least one night in Philly. I would be pissed if they scratched it for daughter and i was at the show!

Yes. And Eddie can't really handle it.

Ha, yeah, I noticed that, too. :(

All of the casual PJ fans that I was with were pretty happy they did, I was :(

    Still a great show!

Don't agree. Sounded like Eddie couldn't keep up. But maybe I will be blown away and love it on the boot :)

    WHEN?????
  • I haven't heard any of the live versions of this yet, but I would love to hear it live. Too bad if Eddie's voice sounds weak on this one... but I still think it would be cool.

Indeed. Highlight of Berlin for me!
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

Isn't Philly the city of brotherly love? I think it's likely.

Personally, it doesn't do much for me. Could do without... but I'm pretty sure we'll hear it at least once in Philly.

I hope they don't retire it already, and keep playing No Way
"All I Ever Knew" available now in print and digital formats at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iBooks.
  • I was gutted we didn't get it in Manchester or London :(
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

There's a reason it took approximately 47 years for this song to see the light of day. It really isn't that good.

sounded great in SBE and Berlin, Eds voice isnt the same as the old version, but he was nailing those screams towards the end!

Also, they could very well drop it. They played WMA, the old version of Garden, and Who You Are on the US tour last year, but not since.
  • Were you at Berlin?

I was in Berlin. But I fucked up my own concert experience that night... so maybe if I was in the zone Iwould jhave loved ot, now I thought Eddie was off and it did not sound good. At least Got Some was helped out by the audience :)

Doesn't matter to me who likes it or who doesn't...IMO, it's the best PJ song that's been released in a decade...I love it. I'm not a "casual" fan either...I've followed this band ever since I was lucky enough to see 'em live in Hawaii in September of 92. Ya know, I wasn't crazy about being in the Army, but that's one instance where serving offered me an opportunity to do something I would cherish for the rest of my life (even though at the time it wasn't really a big deal)...I did buy "Ten" the next day tho. But, to get back on subject, I love "Brother" and would love to see it live.
  • I love brother too, I think the instrumental and one of the demos are really cool. A Great great song.

But I would have traded hearing it live for hearing HELP HELP live :)
