    personally, i love a man who can rock a suit ANd rock a leather jacket/jeans. it's a very sexy thing that one man can pull both off. and hey, as to what you 'have' to wear to work, whether a cop or a lawyer, we all wear 'uniforms'.....so i could not give a shit about that. but sure, on your own time....more comfortable with a guy in jeans and leather, but the occasional suit is nice. hell, i got hubby to buy a corduroy blazer for the first time for 'casual wear'...with jeans, he's usually FAR more casual/sporty in his attire, and yes....he looks hot in it and i like it. :mrgreen: but you bet, i still love him in his leather jacket too. 8-) so sure, some of us like....both. :geek:

    Well who doesn't want it all? ;) I'm far from able to rock both... I've never owned or even put on a leather jacket in my life, hehe.

    I definitely dig the Clark Kent look. Glasses are definitely icing on the cake. D2D I agree with the cooking. There's something about cooking that just makes a man's wrists sexy. Oh la!

    I was telling my twin about this, and she has been married 17 years. She said that her husband's sense of humor is the icing on the cake. She likes to hear him talk because of the goofy things he might say. Her word not mine.

    I'm not sure really, do wish my husband would put his stuff away and not leave WD40 and engine lubricant in the kitchen. Not really keen on men in suits or shiny shoes - that would be a no no.

    Gosh I'll have to think about this ....

    .... put it in the bedroom ...... I agree men in suits is a complete turn off for me and shiny shoes especially those trendy wing tipped long toed things that are in just now .....

    Fortunately have a more than adequate sufficiency in the bedroom at the mo ..... give it time though not too long 'til I hit the menopause!! ;)

    Thought about it some more ....

    Humour - definately, I guess I took that for granted, but it's definetely a bonus, actually no, I think it would have to be a part of the main course.

    You know I really have absolutely no idea, um, be supportive about what I want to do, no that's a main. Hubby bought me a book that he thought I'd like to read the other week. That was really lovely of him as he's not a pressie kind of guy. Oh that could be one;

    Surprising me - by actions, thoughts or the odd little gift. It's good to be kept on your toes.

    Well that's all I can think of for now.

    My hubby always looks uncomfortable in a suit, and it's always at weddings and funerals, so maybe he's uncomfortable with being at them too. Leather jacket? He only wears it when he's on his bike, along with his leather trousers.

    Oh I've thought of another one;

    Filtrum - I think that's what its called its the dip under the nose that runs to the top of your lips. A do think it's a bonus to have a nice one of those, my hubby has a little scar in his that is just so cute.

    There, I think I've finished now.

    as i said, definitely icing. i don't cook, but i never really thought about it much. then again, i knew my husband was an excellent cook before i married him, and he knew i barely boiled water :D....but i have definitely realized what amazing, and sexy, icing a good cook is!

    and yes....he can rock the leather jacket or the suit. 8-) he's undoubtably more comfortable in the leather jacket, tho he is quite pleased with the compliments when he does wear a suit, that he indeed becomes instantly comfortable. :mrgreen: however, the jeans/t/leather is far more *him* and always will be. besides, it goes with his bass far better i imagine.... :ugeek:

    btw - funny, i too am married 17 years....and i have to agree, the goofy shit is the best. funny when you are not trying to be, is all bonus! :mrgreen:

    I doubt that. I ran with a lot of hippies and artsy folks in college, a lot of random restaurant friends after... not until law school did I meet the lawyer crowd, and even then, most of my friends were from all walks of life over Chicago (as most AA groups are wont to be, hehe), I didn't hang with the lawyers much.

    If I ever go back to school, it's going to be to get a phd in sociology or something, and I'm going to use this as my dissertation topic ;)

    I'm glad you said it, cause I've been thinking it :) Of course, I'm sure her husband is not a douchebag, but in the midwest, that's probably the tag you'd get for wearing one. We don't need James Dean wannabes out here... we all already ARE James Dean style rugged, hehe.

    no, no...nothing about people wearing leather jackets but the west la hollywood wanna-be's etc will wear leather jackets on 80 degree days...sorry, that's being a douchebag...and there are about 8 days total during the year where a leather jacket would be a consideration

    i get wearing them in colder climates but la? please

    and as for the topic...icing on the cake? well not being repulsed by me is always a plus! ;):lol:

    obviously, it's simply a regional thing, perhaps...coupled with a generational twist as well. walk along NYC or long island streets in the fall or winter, and it would be impossible to NOT see many, many people, male and female, all ages, wearing leather. it's not a douchebag thing, it's not a wannabe thing...tho i am sure it can be that and many other things....but overall, it simply IS, here. that's all. also, obviously, not something i ever gave great thought to until you mentioned never owning or even trying one on. and please, rock n' roll and leather have always gone hand in hand, and i never met a guy in a band who didn't at least at one point in their life, own a leather jacket. again, perhaps regional....who knows? :lol:

    and staying on topic - no, it's not an icing thing. ;) i simply do appreciate, male or female, the ability to rock em both.....the leather/casual....and the confident/suit. not a requirement, but it does work.

    and the lawyer thing, was a joke. i know you were quite the stoner. :D

    I didn't know wearing leather was so bad....I know a lot of people that wear leather jackets when it's cold. I've always wanted one too just never got one. I guess it's just different where you live. I lived in LA about 15 minutes from downtown\west side, whatever and no one's ever been judged by their jacket when it's leather that I know of. I just like that they go with almost anything!

    Perhaps. When I think leather jacket I think 80s... Bon Jovi, Springsteen, New Jersey, etc. Just not really a part of the culture here I suppose. Strange!

    Ah, the matchmaker. I do have the glasses and Clark Kent look, but I am SO not a dog person, so count me out of the icing list. All yours norm!

    Anyway, you're perfectly welcome in the midwest. We don't hate here! Just might poke a little fun, hehe. I think out here the last guy to wear a leather jacket was the fonz is all ;) I did once date a girl that wore one... but she was from the east coast, hehe.
