I can kinda relate. I walk around naked in front of my two dogs all the time......but I can't have sex if they're in the same room. They watch --- it's just too weird!!! :?
There has to be a certain age... my son isn't even 2 yet, so it's not a big deal (not that we lounge around the house naked or anything).
I think like 3-4 with the opposite sex is about it though... not because nudity is something to be ashamed of, but do you want your son telling everyone in preschool that he saw your boobies or you daughter talking about their dad's junk?

i have a related problem .... is it okay to walk around naked in front of my cat? I don't do it all the time, but when I do, he always gives me a look as if to say, "Dude ... gross."
i think it is entirely dependent on the family, how you are raising your kids, what kind of environment. i think it can be a-ok, and i also think it can be weird, all hinged on how/why/where/how old, etc.
as i think emmi mentioned, depending on your culture, it's simply the norm in certain situations. i think most definitely there are families that are a lot more comfortable about it and that is key. if it's no big deal to you, should be no big deal for your kids. sadly, in our culture, comfort with nudity is not so much the norm, we are too busy constantly sexualizing it. as your kids age, kids talk, and no one wants to be the 'weird kid' with the creepy family, hearing/knowing their parents walk around naked. beyond that, it could lead to reports/questions. quite sad. however, i still believe it's entirely possible to find the right balance if it's important to you.
also, i can honestly say i have never ever seen my mother naked. but sure, she was/is a really uptight catholic. :P
I think being naked in front of your kids can be really healthy as long as everyone is comfortable with it,there are clear boundaries and everyone knows they can say if they are uncomfortable.
I grew up in a house where nudity was a very private thing, all doors were locked.I grew up thinking something was wrong with the naked body, something to be ashamed of.I was well into my adulthood before I gained my own comfort with nudity, mine and others.
I don't have kids but I know I wouldn't want that kind of discomfort for them in thinking their bodies were something to hide.

My cat used to watch too. I'd look over and she'd just be sitting there staring. Was really weird! So the door is closed prior-to.
Though she hates closed door so occasionally she put her paw under the door and rattle it trying to get in. It too can be "distracting". hahaha
