    I agree about the cost of the rv, they definitely take advantage of the fact it is for b'roo. I had an original quote of 1200.00 when they found out the dates... it was up to 2600-3000. So hotel it is. or the ground. :)

    awww :( sorry you won't be coming down to the 'roo.

    Last year, AT&T Blueroom broadcast most of the Bonnaroo shows, but I wonder if PJ will let them after the Lolla fiasco.

    but im just going to take a pass on these shows.....

    like i said ive done the traveling thing the last 5 years.....and it is a GREAT TIME....

    but shelling out $1000's of dollars for planes and hotels is just something im not going to do this summer....

    maybe i just need a little break......

    Same boat.. I have the money and a ton of vacation. I've seen them from here to Seattle over the years.
    As I approach 40, I just can't justify a ton of loot dropped on more pj traveling.

    Now... If they ever get closer, I'll for sure hit a few shows. But my days of dishing out a good amount of cash for travel and tix are about over.

    I got a brand new travel trailer for $700. Same as an RV just have to tow it with my truck. Bathroom, queen bed, full size fridge, flatscreen with satelite, you name it. Splitting the cost with only one other person.

    3-5 years ago i was like....

    "well tickets will run me $500"

    "airfare for the 2 of us will be around $500 each"

    "hotels and meal money will run us $1000-$1500"

    "no problem"


    and now i say....

    "why the fuck am i thinking of spending this kind of money on a band??? that i have seen 30+ times??????"

    Life has definitely changed. It just has. I can't spend money like I used to. So, I hope everyone has fun who's going--I can't imagine they won't...I look forward to hearing the stories. But, I don't look forward to seeing this band any time soon since they just don't come anywhere near that would make some $ sense to me. I wonder if I'll ever see them again? I'm kind of starting to doubt it. But, I'll always remember them as the band that brought me the best rock show I've ever seen. Thankfully, they'll still put out a couple of albums. Otherwise, within the context of my life, they'd be just memories to me, as much as I do like their music.

    not going either...and my 10c number is the monkey balls. it just so happens i live in kansas, which makes for long travels when flying puts me on edge.
