I feel like I dislike Christmas a lot more than I like it. Not in a grinchy way, just in a logical way. The materialism/money-spending aspect is just ridiculous and I'm becoming frustrated that I'm basically being forced into it by my family.

In all fairness to the dog, it is a pretty weird fuckin' idea to keep a tree inside the house for a few weeks every year

Cookie boxes. Assembling them. A decent number. Readying them to ship this evening so that I may stand in line at the post office tomorrow.

why does the cat scream bloody murder at the back door, but when I go open the door to let him in, he runs away and does that little purr-meow sound?

He's been outside since yesterday morning.

My bf got me desperately needed new bedding for the holidays. And now it's so fluffy and soft and comfy I never wanna get up in the morning! Not that I wanted to before, but now it's extra hard!

And it's funny, even the cat can tell! The first time he jumped up on the bed after I put it all on, he just sat there and purred loudly!

On Sunday I found out that my bike was stolen. It was locked to the bike rack in my apartment building so they had to cut the lock with a bolt cutter. It's not in the view of the door, so I think the person that did it lives in my building... I filed a police report, but unless it turns up somewhere, there is likely nothing they can do as i don't have any leads on a suspect. Kinda scary as I never had anything like this happen to me.

Ah that's crappy :( Easy enough for someone to slip inside the building though, so wouldn't assume it's someone living there. Dunno what kind of area you live in but I know my neighbours wouldn't be the bike-stealing types :)

Frankie, that's terrible, particularly knowing whoever did it was in the building. I cycle commute daily and ride for fun on weekends, so I really rely on my bike, which is at least 15 years old and a tank by today's standards. I've thought many times about upgrading but I always come back to the fact the my current bike is unappealing to thieves, and any better bike I got probably wouldn't last long. Bike theft is rampant in my city. Best of luck getting it back, but if that doesn't happen, I hope you'll be back on a new bike soon.
