I had a great day for the most part, its just a running trend for me to spend some time a little sad. Maybe not the typical time for existential thinking, but it always seems to pop up that day.

Oh well. It's over. Sorry to bother with my birthday musings haha

Happy Belated Sam and Happy Early birthday Pap!!

during my teens I had a difficult time with my birthday because terrible things kept happening. I had to attend funerals for friends or family for like 5 consecutive years on my birthday. Also some other traumatic stuff besides that which I won't get into but which added up the streak of terrible birthdays to around 10 years. Ironically, despite everything that's going on right now this year I had the best birthday I could remember, ever. Nothing spectacular, no one bought me a pony ...actually no one bought me anything... but for three days I got taken to dinner by friends. Nothing special or fancy, unless you want to count cannoli cake (which maybe you should) at a friends house while they got drunk and we watched terrible movies.

I guess the moral of the story is when your standards get lowered to the level mine were it's the little things that can make an ordinary day seem special.

I hate being the only one at work to see the obvious, then share the obvious, then be ignored. Because if wasn't ignored, then god forbid, someone actually has a direct conversation.

Happy!!! After a year full of lobbying, united Art Therapists (VakwerK) had a big contract with the city for youth healthcare.

Why do PJ posters look so much better a little while after the show when the price is way higher than if you actually just bought the poster at the show? And how did I suddenly want the rest of the posters of the shows I've been to? :-??

    :))

Let me guess - you didn't get the Detroit posters at the show and now you are reconsidering? I feel ya. We didn't get the D poster either. Passed on it on purpose. Now I'm kinda punching myself cause maybe I could have traded it in for a Moline poster. Don't go to ebay, wait until they drop here!

It is kind of crazy to think about it. 25 years ago in a couple of days the wall came down in East Germany. Around now we went to candle marches through the city, demonstrations were happening all over Germany and people were in a weird state between hope and fear about the future. And now 25 years later I am sitting here in America on my computer, writing this.

That one we actually did, Tom got the last Chelios poster before they restocked! He couldn't pass that up! But just have been thinking about how it would be cool to have all the posters from the shows I've been to. I was never much of a poster person, but now that I live with my bf, who has about 10 posters hanging up in his room, I'm becoming way more keen on the idea of being able to look at all posters from shows past! It's a little time capsule on the wall!

Good luck with the Detroit poster though, I will keep my eyes out for you!
