Ok, a little bit of inside information for those of you that don't know me.
I have three boys, ages 16, 13 and 11. I have five cats, ages ranging from 18 to 5. I have two rats, YES rats and if you freak out over it, rats are just as smart as dogs AND cats, litter box trained and the sweetest, attention craving small pet you can have. On top of that I have two sixty-five gallon fish tanks as well.
I'm a single Mother with a four bedroom house and HUGE yard to take care of too.
Well.....my sixteen year old son has been asking for a dog for six months or more because we've never had a dog. I DO NOT want a DOG and I don't think it's fair to get one because I am scared it wouldn't get the attention it deserved, I have ENOUGH trouble taking care of EVERYTHING else on my own...with help from the boys ;)
Ok SO......a post comes up on my facebook the day before Thanksgiving and it's a friend of mine that saw a dog on craigslist for free. Well, we ALL know what happens, USUALLY to free dogs on craigslist and this dog was different/special. So, immediately, something drew me to this dog and I called the owner 29mins after the post was made. My kids and I went to meet her within' the hour and it was just kind of a done deal. We went to Lowes and bought a HUGE crate since she was crate kept, went to two different pet stores for toys and food and bowls and a collar/harness etc. On the drive to all these places we're calling the vet before we bring her home to our other animals to make sure she is safe from rabies, parasites, etc.
Well, of course, she came home with us that night and got a LONG bath because she was filthy and full of fleas. She was intended and IS my son's dog but I have fallen so completely in LOVE with her. Seems that now she spends more time with me and I would not let her on the furniture but she sits here beside me on the couch and she IS my dog. I love her like one of my kids/cats/rats....and I am totally surprised.
Love finds you in so many weird ways....and I'm in love....again.

i was actually just messing around with my old one and i stumbled upon ed's wishlist solo when i was on the b string. you have to get the thing just right between the pickups and get the pickup volume really low to get it to sound ok. plus the sound doesn't start right away. takes time to get the string to vibrate... :fp:
