    I'm glad I'm finally enjoying life a little
    I'm actually making good on all of my New Year's resolutions
    sometimes I wish I could freeze time. If I could have a superpower I think that would be it :D

    moving on from the loss of a friend is very freeing in a lot of ways. it forces you to let go of things that are never going to be resolved. it hastens the healing, i think. in a way you are helpless to change things, because you really can't. at the same time, it is empowering when you let go of someone that was a source of strength for so many years. suddenly your problems seem so small when faced with the death of someone that you love. emotionally i am pretty much adrift at the moment. just riding the wave and seeing where it is gonna take me... normally that would cause me to be anxious, but for some reason, tonight, it makes me feel a sense of peace and excitement.
