How good are you at shoveling snow? My usual gal crapped out on me.

It's kind of like removing wallpaper but with with a scraper and a hammer.  I have a plan, got the last area of tiles to remove, then will look at moving kitchen appliances to remove what's underneath.

I'm currently taking a cappucino break and listening to Flag Day. I really like the track Rather be home.

Yes, the first time I tried it and pretty much everytime. It's only a small scuff.

Im enjoying my flagday soundtrack music breaks.  What's strange is that I'm worried about the hammering noise yet the dog and other half are sleeping all the way through this. Im making real progess today.

 (Yesterday was out as i had a hangover so had to rest and watch romcoms all day. I think Katherine Hiegel is overexposed in this genre).

I should probably be on the DIY thread, but anyway, yesterday I removed all the kitchen floor tiles and corkboard just in time to watch Temple of Doom. However, I found out after the film I'm supposed to remove another whole layer of uneven floor surface.

So today, after a nice dog walk in the park, after a nice swim, àfter a nice makeover, I've now been removing the slate on the floor or screed or whatever it is. And yeah, underneath all that there is a flat foor. I can see it now.

The good news is the floor people have called and booked the floor in for DPM treatment under the new flooring in early March, so I'm really happy it will be done properly.

Today I made some curtains with lining, they surprisingly turned out a lot better than I thought they would. This might be my new thing, making curtains for other places in the house.

Gorden Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmare USA is hilarious! He could be a lot less rude but my god, it is so fuuny and great to see the transformation. I didn't intend to watch this show but it's on every morning after Cheers and Fraiser. They even call him Chef Ramsey which sounds kinda Korean.

One of our best friends died this evening.  How do you deal when a friend suddenly dies?  No chance to say goodbye, nothing.  My wife was over there earlier today while I was home working.  The friend was OK then.  And now the friend is gone.  How can that be?  It's just too much.
