Gathering of the Vibes is taking a break this summer. After 9 years for me (4 days each) of fun. music and absolute bliss I have to find a new vacation next year.
wow, I just realized that was 36 days of pure debauchery! I NEED those 4 days a year! It keeps me sane!

I just ordered my sister and I ashbeads. hope she doesn't think its' too "morbid" of a Christmas pressie. I think it's a cool way to have some ashes close to you...and they're pretty :-)

I just looked them up-never heard of them before. I think it's a lovely gift...especially around a holiday when you spend time with loved ones. They are beautiful.
My dad loved the beach and I think I wanted Merrys beads b/c they look like water :-) I can't wait to get them!

I went to that place for the first time in Europe two summers ago, it was delicious. And I just heard it was coming to NYC, so I'm stoked. Not that there's a shortage of good Japanese food here, but still, exciting :)

First time there last night. I had teriyaki beef donburi (a big bowl of steamed rice that is stir-fried with beef and mixed vegetables - served with a picked side) and it was pretty good. I didn't like the dessert that much though. I tried banana katsu (banana in panko breadcrumbs with a scoop of salted caramel ice cream).

So a pretty crazy thing happened a couple days ago. Went to a concert, and to our surprise (we got there around when doors opened), walked right in and straight to the front row. From that view, I spotted someone side stage who looked really, really familiar. And it finally dawned on me that he used to work at the venue I interned at a couple years ago! I was debating whether to say hi or not, and I sure am glad I decided to go for it! At the end of the show (which was amazing, and I got a setlist!), I asked security if I could say hi to him. He came down, gave me a big hug, and we chatted for a bit. Told him where I was at, what's been going on--basically that I ultimately still want to work in music. He gave me his number and email and told me to send him a resume! Even offered to put me on the list for the band's 2nd show the next day! What a small world...I cannot believe that happened! Still in shock! Crossing my fingers it might lead to something. Helped restore a little faith in my dreams, and that I can and will be able to pursue them, succeed, and be happy!
