You are not a loser. I have a coloring book, as well. Fantastic art therapy. And if anyone tries to make you feel like a loser, send them my way and I will straighten them out.

I saw them at Costco, and Mr. RK wouldn't let me buy them. So I went back on my day off (like 2 days later) to secretly buy them, and they were gone...the whole pallet of them!

I've noticed that adult coloring books have become a thing recently. I bought colored pencils & a couple coloring books maybe 7-8 years ago? But I just got like my little pony or whatever the dollar store had. I'm surprised to learn people want to get special outlines to fill in.

I have The Secret Garden which was on back order from Amazon for the longest time. Went to Micheals with a coupon and got a huge thing of gel pens for $26 and ordered 72 pencils from Amazon for $19. So far I would say I've put about 5 hours in and I have not too much done! Its going to be a great way to spend the cold months inside and really for $50 it's a pretty good deal that will keep me busy and off the stupid tv.

The Secret Garden sold off the shelf as soon as I put it there. Amazon being out was listed as the reason.

Adult coloring books are really quite detailed and very therapeutic. I know that my kiddo expressed an interest in some and will be receiving some as a Christmas gift from the man himself. A lot of people are using them as brain exercises and as therapy for older adults having issues with dementia.

Target has a few, RK. Look in the book aisles. Even my grocery store has a display at the cash lanes.

I just remembered when i was an older kid my moms friend who is an artist used to give me books to color at her house when we went to visit. They were elaborate, mostly European costumes, King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth. That sort of thing. Maybe it works for me b/c I loved those books..kinda funny It just came back to me...that was about 40 yrs ago!

It's very fun to just do the drawings yourself. Doing the extremely detailed outlines using your own imagination is the best part!

If I'm drawing, I don't like other people in the same room with me, because I don't want to be interrupted for anything, I'll draw for hours.
The coloring books are different, that I don't need to concentrate much.
