So I have 2 sons - 6yo and 4yo.

I haven't pushed PJ on them, although I do listen to it enough they'll say "hey dad, this is PJ, right?"

So I've been playing BS in the car since I got it Friday without really telling them it was a new PJ album.

Yesterday, I pick them up and wee get into my car. First thing the 6yo says when the music starts playing was "Hey dad - can you put on that song that goes 'fight to get it back again'. 4 yo says "Yeah, I want to listen to that all the time."

They proceeded to sing along to the chorus as we played it repeatedly all the way home. My 6yo is a great reader, so I gave him the lyrics and he read along and started singing the verses. It was so awesome.

They were so disappointed when we got home and had to turn the music off - 6yo asked if he could take the disc to play in his room. Of course! ;)

My 11 year old loves The Fixer.

Wait until you take him to his first show.

    He had a freaking blast.

  • My son already rips through BSpacer on Rockband and this is the first album he asked me to rip to his ipod. I asked my mother to check target for an XL t-shirt and she came back with 2 larges and the cd. I said she can return them as they are too small. Anyhow, she decided to check out the cd and said she really likes it.

  • My kids didn't start listening to PJ that young, they are the ones that actually got me into them. It will probably be about 6 weeks before I hear what my son Jess thinks of Backspacer, I just loaded it on an MP3 player along with some shows courtesy of a fellow 10 clubber, Thanks Dave, and is now on the way to Afghanistan.

glad to be of help and i hope Jess and his group stay safe and get to listen to the stuff over and over again and that they all come back safe so i can give him some more goodies. As much as we idolize this band here, your son and others serving and protecting our country are our true heroes
