i'm right there with you. Or even "it's gone so quiet now"
Ed's harmonies are dope!
“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”
Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river
The bridge of supersonic? Where the song "changes" and gets all funky!!
Otherwise, the final chorus of Supersonic. something like "live with the volume full!"
But c'mon, the best moment in Backspacer? 6/12 in Philly when we realized we were the first ones to hear "The End." That's my second "first" already! Santa Cruz!
...the moment the needle hits the record. i'm loving this record and as a 34 year old that bought TOTD on cassette before Ten was even released, I can say this album has had more immediate impact on me than any other since TOTD. I think it has brilliant written all over it. Anthem after anthem, this album is special in a lot of ways.
"i've seen it work both ways, but i am up ridin high amongst the waves. i can feel like i, have a soul that has been saved." word. "better loud than too late".
- Crazy triplet drum fill in GSMF
- when the guitar riff kicks back in after the fixers bridge
- the entire bridge in Johnny guitar
- guitar solo in amongst the waves
- gems and rhinestones
- bridge in supersonic
