    1. Unthought Unknown (this could be their best since In Hiding)
    2. Got Some (fuckin' awesome get me pumped everytime)
    3. Force of Nature (how is EV going to pull this off live he doesn't take a break at all)
    4. Amongst the Waves (great story)
    5. Just Breathe
    6. Speed of Sound (might move up once I hear it live)
    7. The End (so tender)
    8. Johnny Guitar (hated at 1st but it's growing on me)

    first: need to say I truly like the new album.
    So much written about, but I am just highly impressed!
    They do develop and grow and they are highly creative with this one! What a great one.
    and to me: every album reflects the time we are in, brings subjects to a point and stands for itself:
    Binaural- the most creative one to me, musically spoken, at least back then, Riot act was big help to me during very difficult times, The Avocado just spoke right out of my mind with the critical statements about our politics and dying planet, and now?
    well, hard to say, so here comes my ranking:

    1. Got Some (love the instrumental details so much and the speed of the song is stunning!!! That one got me live first, and now I freak and start dancing every time it comes up...)

    2. Unthought known! (wow - the lyrics, the music, the all in all growing of the song- impressive and to me: new kind of PJ song - but genius- and I started to ask myself: what do I give? ;)

    3. Amongst the waves (VISION music magazine Germany was right: this one gets close to given to fly; I really like the positive message in this song!)

    4. Speed of sound (the lyrics, the lyrics, hey the lyrics speak right to my soul, somehow... and funny to have THIS melody to those lyrics! - very creative!)

    5. Just breath (one of the most beautiful love songs to me!, stunning lyrics, wonderful music)

    6. Force of Nature (I like it a lot! I just like it)

    7. Gonna see my friend (the lyrics again, so true, so wise!)

    8. Supersonic (funny one to just rock out big times)

    9. Johnny guitar (but this one gets better each time I listen to) + The End (too sad to listen to it with happiness...)

    11. The fixer (yeah, I might stand alone with that, but this song does not get me musically. but the lyrics are o.k. and of course nice!)

    and p.s.: this ranking could change with every time I listen to it, and I listen to it often those days! :D

    Speed of SOund is one of my favorites on the album... weird. and I like the album version waaaay better than the demo.

    OK:

    Gonna See My Friend, Johnny Guitar, Just Breathe, Force of Nature

    Amongst the Waves could end up great for me, and Gonna See My Friend, and Johnny Guitar, good.

    I LOVED Just Breathe when I heard it on the Backspacer promo vid, but it hasn't aged well for me. It's a nice song but a little thin. Force of Nature just doesn't do it for me at all.

    1) Amongst The Waves
    2) Johnny Guitar
    3) Force of Nature
    4) Just Breathe
    5) Got Some
    6) The Fixer
    7) Gonna See My Friend
    8) Unthought Known
    9) Supersonic
    10) Speed of Sound
    11) The End
    ............................................... I do not actively dislike any of these songs .... The End is a tad morbid. Speed of Sound is one that might improve when it gets the live treatment.
