The one definite for now is Johnny Guitar at #11. I just can't get into it yet, but I refuse to skip it!!

This should be fairly easy:

1. Just Breathe (stunningly beautiful, lyrically & musically)
2. Unthought Known (so much better than I was expecting, I love the climax of this)
3. Johnny Guitar (always makes me smile, love the vocal rhythms)
4. The Fixer (great rave-up, love the electronic fuzz on the guitars in the last (short) verse)
5. The End (very haunting, particularly the ending, but I'd have more subtle strings)
6. Got Some (I think they could've let loose a little more on this but it's still great)
7. Supersonic (thought I was going to hate this when I heard it in London, but it's so much fun. The breakdown is terrific)

all of the above are great, but then...

8. Speed of Sound (could have been #2 if it had been along the lines of the demo. The lyrics & the melody are wonderful but the unsubtle drums & the guitar bridges knock it way down)
9. Gonna See my Friend (could've be higher too, except the chorus doesn't fit the verses & sounds more like STP or Soundgarden, neither of whom I like)
10. Amongst the Waves (once again, could have been higher, but the uninspired solo/breakdown section again just doesn't fit the song - it's far too "metal")
11. Force of Nature (I know everybody loves it, but I find it utterly cliched and overblown. It makes me cringe. First time ever on a PJ album that there's a song I always want to skip)
