    Just received confirmation 2 CD + DVD has been shipped out with the limited edition litho. Crossing fingers it comes in signed! :)

    has anyone gotten this in a store yet? best buy has 2 versions listed... one a 2cd-dvd combo, and the other looks to just be a cd. i thought it was a double album? i dont know how much i care about the dvd, but i definitely want the full cd and $7.99 seems way to cheap if their basic version is a double album. is the second disc just bsides or outtakes or something?

    I know that the "double CD" was well under 80 minutes combined and could fit on one, so maybe they just did that as a budget-minded alternative because it was all new original songs on both discs so I don't know how they would decide what to leave off.

    the New album deluxe comes in a giant furry space alien vagina- AMAZING! it also sounds a lot better than the past 3 records on the stream- that yoshi battles robots crap.

    i say you talk to yoru doctor and never see that girl or guy again. flaming lips can hurt and cause great discomfort.

    you were right. the single album is the full album put on one disc. i think for the other set you get a cool box, the album split up, and the dvd. i opted for just the music. i'm not sure what to make of it yet. there were some pretty incredible moments on my first listen, but also a lot of tripped out space rock. it's an album so psychedelic pink floyd would be jealous. which is why i was surprised i didn't feel more into it last night.

    i've probably heard about 5 lips albums. my two favorites were probably the most most well known, yoshimi and soft bulletin. i thought these were both really really good albums, but neither made me much more than a casual fan. i listened to the new album once so far and it absolutely blew me away. far and away the best thing i've heard from this band. usually experimental albums like this take a few listens to sink in for me, but not this one, so i'm gonna recommend starting with the new one, embryonic. amazing.
