    fuck yea!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steelers lost - BOOOOO!!!! Oh well, "Sixburgh" usually starts the season a little slow, so we'll rebound soon I hope!

By the way, for those who don't have one of the participating Targets in your area, Target.com now has updated their website and they have all t-shirt sizes right now. I just bought an XL.

They are not as small as people said they were, my husband put on the medium and it was a smidge to tight a large will be roomy and an XL would be huge on him, he aint no 130 lbs 5'6 dude either...

Where did you find them? I don't see them anywhere on their website.

Re: the Sunday release. My guess is that Target wanted a Sunday release, because that is when they run their weekly circular, and the prices in it are generally good from Sunday through Saturday. If anything, Target is already set up to roll out a new product on a Sunday.

I got mine this morning, but it is a small XL. Mainly purchased it for the charity part.

The store had no clue where they were until the manager came and pulled them from the cabinet behind the counter in electronics.

if you were XL, you won't where this one. It is very small and tight, but I purchased it anyway

I tried and tried and tried and then I hear the shirt sucks too small....what a joke people...pissed my ass off this morning running aroung town for a fuckin shirt that would be too tight anyway!!!
Plus no one has it or will give it up!!!!

  • I ordered two shirts in size L, and two shirts in size XL.

I'll find out which size fits, and probably return the other size.

I was annoyed to not find the shirts at my nearby Target today, only to come home and find a link to the list of Targets that actually are supposed to carry them...neither of which are the three Targets closest to me.

I was also less than impressed with the single endcap of Backspacer CDs, with no posters, banners, etc. advertising the album. They also didn't have the Rockband/CD combination.

Lastly, I grabbed the 'indie record store' version at my local record shop here in Richmond, VA. Unbelievably, they had no LPs!

I ordered two ($25 each), but they can't tell me when they'll arrive.

    Really?

Yeah, man. Me too. Plan 9 dropped the fucking ball. Nothing but the CD. I told the guy no thanks on ordering the vinyl when he told me they didn't know when it would come in. I'll just wait until Target gets it on Tuesday, I guess. I thought Target was going to have it today, so they were the first place I checked before I went to Plan 9. Also, they didn't have any shirts at Target. After Plan 9, I went to Deep Groove Records down on Robinson, and they didn't have the vinyl either. I don't know what the hell is going on.

Richmond isn't much of a Pearl Jam city, I guess. Nobody really seems to care! Then again, the band has never performed here, so I guess they don't care about Richmond either...
  • I could have pre-ordered from 10C, as I have in the past, but I wanted 'to do my part' to support the local indie record store. So, I decided to make a trip to Carytown, then to Target.

    What a waste...

The 10C order of the LP is actually cheaper even with shipping (I'm ordering 2), and the CD is about the same price as well, when shipped with the LPs.

I'm going to wait a few days to see what shakes out with the 10C purchases of Backspacer. Although I'm not crazy about these downloaded shows being in mp3 format (and it appears to be a crappy bit rate at that), nor even full shows (no cover songs included).

    I'm sending you a pm.

  • Target here was great. I knew about the shirt but the guy was like "hey you gotta check out the shirt!" I actually like the shirt but am waiting until payday. $20 is a little steep, even with part of the money going to charity. They had two full racks of Backspacer and some of the singles. Lots of signage promoting it. Good job Target in Harlingen TX!

  • My target said taht they would "probably" have them out by Tuesday since that's the day new cds come out......
  • and i'm sure they didn't have a special meeting earlier this week about how "we're going to be getting exclusive pearl jam shirts and and new cd's and maybe some records and rabid fans are going to be coming in here at 8am looking for their exact size and wanting to know every difference between their fan club version and our target version...this is why you earn your $8 per hour people so be ready"

    man...

The Target here had the CD's out and my friend went to Wilmington, NC to get the shirts for everyone. She said they had them on this end cap at the front of the store. I think people on this board don't realize that Target is not a specialty record store and their employees are usually just out of high school and minorities, at least in the south, who probably aren't the biggest Pearl Jam fans or even know who the hell they are.

Now I have not seen the shirts but if they are made small that sucks big time. I'm 6'2 so hopefully the XL will fit me if not it's a cool collectors item.

I got one if you need it.

My fatass got caught up in the excitement knowing good and well this shirt wouldn't fit.

It was a task finding cds AND the shirts this morning. Whats worse is all this needed to be done before FOOTBALL TIME!!!

i waited for someone in electronics to get there cuz we were the first people in the store. There was ZERO signs of Backspacer OR any kind of pearl jam ANYWHERE! While waiting, my friend called another target to see if THEY had the stuff. The funny thing is, while waiting FOREVER, the commercial for Backspacer kept coming on every 5 minutes on ALL of the tvs in electronics! it kept saying "exclusively at target!" well OBVIOUSLY NOT cuz nobody had them!

Finally this weird looking guy walked up and i asked for the cd and shirt. He said "yes that comes out......." and i said "today". He looked at me like yeah right and shook his finger saying no. I waited and said yeah whatever! Then he said he has them in the back room. He came back with 2 shirts and cds and told us he was the "electronics specialist" :? I looked at him and said "well......you need to specialize in getting this cd out on display or you're gonna have a lot of angry customers! When i picked up the shirt, i was disappointed and left it! it was too flimsy and im not into "stone gossard style" 8-) I did however, hide one somewhere for a friend incase they sold out!
  • "This negative energy just makes me stronger." ;)
  • Are the shirts really that shitty? My friend picked one up for me so I haven't gotten it yet. Damn that sucks.
  • I'm very glad to know I am not the only one who experienced the same problems at Target with not having the cds out and going to the listed Target only to find they didn't have the shirts and driving all over town to find one. I understand Target' s new release day is usually Tuesday but if you are partnering with a band to do an exclusive shouldn't you be on the same page for the release date? I like the shirt, I got a med and it fits fine. I am somewhat confused though about the free downloads, is there a code I am overlooking? Anyone else having this problem? All help is appreciated!
