I got mine this morning, but it is a small XL. Mainly purchased it for the charity part.

The store had no clue where they were until the manager came and pulled them from the cabinet behind the counter in electronics.

if you were XL, you won't where this one. It is very small and tight, but I purchased it anyway

I tried and tried and tried and then I hear the shirt sucks too small....what a joke people...pissed my ass off this morning running aroung town for a fuckin shirt that would be too tight anyway!!!
Plus no one has it or will give it up!!!!

CLUELESS

Same thing happened to me. Won't fit. Luckily I didn't have to go all over but the one I went to, I had to wait 20+ min for them to find it. To make matters worse, they didn't even have Backspacer in the store. They said it hadn't arrived yet. All they had was the Rockband edition.

The press release said they'd be sold in select Target stores and at target.com...

I've been checking Target.com since late night, no sign of the shirt. Why advertise it, and then not carry it?
  • I didn't see the shirt either.

there was a link to the shirt at target.com posted here earlier... but apparently you needed the item number to find it... and they sold out pretty quick... maybe its just in keeping with the online backspacer scavenger hunt

  • There is no Target where I live so I had my poor little mother go get it for me in Calif.

She said at first the sales girl said she could only sell the shirt with the cd

My Mom had to totally talk her into just selling the shirt to her.

    ????????????????

I think the sales girl did not know what she was talking about .... surprise

people are being awfully harsh around here today towards these target employees... im guessing the majority of them are high school kids... you expect them to memorize inventory or know how this works on the first day? i wouldve made up some bullshit rule like that too in her position

  • My local Target had the shirts in the electronics department but only had a very small quantity...probably 15 shirts total and they did not have the CD or the Rockband!!! So glad I ordered the CD through the 10 Club. Target totally dropped the bag on this one!

The real question is how many threads have you now started about Target and this shirt in the past few days?
  • bigbadbillbigbadbill Posts: 1,758
Well, I picked up my copy of Backspacer for 11.98 = 13.15 after tax. The t-shirts suck. The material is so weak, and the XL is actually a Medium. I wouldn't spend $20 on a shirt I won't wear. Not all PJ fans have freakin 12 pack/flat abs, and a size 32 waist. But I will say, although I'm not a big fan of Target, the store I went to had a bunch of Backspacers for sale, and on the bottom were the Rock Band one's for 29.99.

  • Quit your fuckin whining if you dont like target dont fuckin go there. And dont buy the fuckin t shirt! :ugeek:

  • bought the shirt today... Utah is great. Sunday is the best time to go shopping... no crowds.
Had to call two stores before anyone understood what I was talking about. Once I found one... the put it on hold!!

One issue is no backspacer from 10C yet and I still haven't gotten my chicago II poster? I chalk it up to Utah...
  • went to the closest Target that was on the list, they said a different store had the shirts. Went to that Target (15 min away) and they said that they didn't have them! They then said that another Target about 20-30 min had them. I gave up

Well, if there is ANY good news about Target and that shirt is that the folks here were ON IT this morning, and because of your findings, I opted out of even trying to go get one. So thanks everyone!! $20 for me to spend on dinner and drinks before the show tomorrow!!

  • No problem with my Target in the Seattle area, the shirt is on the small size but it was right where I thought it would be...with the other band type shirts in the guys department.

If it doesn't fit, don't buy it or buy it and hit the gym if it's that big of a deal, I guess... :?
If I knew where it was, I would take you there....there's much more than this.

  • I love my shirt. It is a bit tight on the arms, but I bought an extra large. My wife yelled at me for not getting a large since I lost a lot of weight and XLs can be a bit big on me. But this shirt fits perfect.

I must have gotten lucky, my Target had all three. I got the CD and the shirt. The Xl was a little tight but fit ok.

Dude I wore their asses out at my Target. I had them searching high and low for the "missing box". After 40 minutes and several fans ditching the process, low and behold out came a box with about 10 shirts in it. Ranging from M-XL. Shirts small? I bought a Large for my 8 year old. WTF! And no LP I was a little bummed about having to work so hard to get answers. I was cool and nice and they treated me great. Even took down my cell number to call me when more Pearl Jam stuff arrives.

Which leads me to this point:

So, there I am looking over with the manager a series of product shots and price points for various Pearl Jam goodies. It was photo-copied and very hard to read. But I saw the shirts, LPs, maybe rockband? at 39.99, then I saw something that I couldn't make out and pointed it out to the manager and she said "not sure but I could have sworn there was a kit of something with a photobook. She made reference to more stuff time and time again. I explained how us fans are and that it is best to sort it out sooner than later as the questions will mount :-) Then she took my name and number and said she would call me. Who knows? At least they tried hard. Wonder what she meant about more stuff to come?! Pearl Jam Rocks!

In July 2007 Densmore said that he would not rejoin The Doors unless it was fronted by Eddie Vedder. Densmore says, "I play with Jim. If there's someone of that level, OK. I'm not gonna join them with Ian. That's not to diss Ian, he's a good singer - but he's no Jim Morrison. Eddie Vedder? My God, there's a singer."
