"Backspacer" just hit No1 in iTunes Australia and Germany

... not bad considering on iTunes the official release date for Backspacer is tomorrow! I predict this album with outsell the last 3 - I may be wrong but we'll see. In any case, it matters not to me and I'm sure not to most of us. Thanks Pearl Jam for some more amazing music - I hope the five of you know how important you are to us and how much joy you bring to our lives

Or you can come to terms and realize
You're the only one who can't forgive yourself
Did you download the pre-order version? Does it come with the Better Man live version?
Peace.
PS How great is this album!!!
It was without Betterman.....sadly

Yeah....all the things I actually don't like about Germany :? ....
Well....BMW isn't bad....
But I H.A.T.E. Sauerkraut!
Or you can come to terms and realize
You're the only one who can't forgive yourself
I was just curious about from which show it was taken...
Love it.

Oh no - I've put my foot in it now! Was trying to make you feel better, but have made it worse!
Love it.
Don't worry ! I still like my country.....
I think it's a German disease not to like your own country.....
And...btw....there are better things about Germany than the Oktoberfest, Sauerkraut, Lederhosen and BMW.....

For example: in Germany people already realized that Backspacer belongs on the number one spot!

Sauerkraut is good, and the red cabbage also, and we mustn't forget all those sausages and big Pretzels and the big big beers.
Well done Germany

Love from the other side of the PJ-loving globe.

Not sure mate - can anyone help us out?
Just great to see some world-spanning love for the PJ.
For example: in Germany people already realized that Backspacer belongs on the number one spot!
Too true - it certainly is impressive, and makes up for a lot of soggy cabbage!

I'm actually quite surprised because in Germany people speak more about electronic music or Heavy Metal.....

yeah..you're right. And I'm happy that those Pearl Jam fans don't belong to those obnoxious people you normally think have the most influence on the chart positions. Normally, there's a lot of crap in german charts. Songs like 'you have a hot ass' (In German it really sounds worse) or music from certain bands / singers of which I will discretely not mention the names.....

London Shepherds Bush Empire 2009, Manchester Evening News Arena 2009, London O2 Arena 2009
Dublin, Belfast, Hyde Park 2010
Manchester Arena 1 and 2, Stockholm, Oslo 2012
Amsterdam 1 and 2, Leeds, Milton Keynes Bowl 2014
Wrigley Field 1 and 2 2016
London 1 and 2 2018
Fenway Park 1 and 2 2018
Yes, but he really should sing in German! I heard him talking German on a concert once and he did it very well!
I'm just trying to imagine him singing: 'Du hast den geilsten Arsch der Welt!'....... :P

I knew the New Zealanders have taste!I spent one year in Wellington and I'm not surprised that they know what good music is :P

Plus, Ten is in at #77.
thanks for the Post!
I am from Germany as well and hey, what good news for a morning greeting!
I am very surprised, though, as I always think PJ is nearly completely unknown here... well they know it but always think about Nirvana next and uhhh, we are back to the Grunge thing, right?
Anyway, I am happy that "we" finally realize the great music.
and p.s. Nastasja, good line you said about the German desease .... funny and right, I guess!
but I would not go for BMW... but for Sauerkraut + Red Kraut, love the stuff in winter!
...the world is come undone, I like to change it everyday but change don't come at once, it's a wave, building before it breaks.
