I truly think that this may be their best record since Yield. And I really like the last 3 records...a lot.

I like the self-titled better. Backspacer is more consistent but nothing rocks my socks off like "Life Wasted" or "Severed Hand" does.

so its back on page 364 or something... there's a time for things to go on and die. besides, people JUST got the album, so a new thread is good.
Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)

    well said. i completely agree!
this record just has this raw energy to it that 'avocado' had, but in a different sense.
"one man stands the edge of the ocean
    a beacon on dry land
    eyes above the horizon
in the dark before the dawn..."
    "i am a donut"
  • Backspacer - I liked S/T, like a few songs a whole bunch - but the few songs I've heard from BS are just awesome. yes, a little poppy. but catchy as hell. most of my music listening takes place in the car or when i'm running. Got Some, the Fixer, Supersonic, are all great for both.
  • Self-Titled, but in a week I might say Backspacer.

Backspacer as a whole although S/T had a few songs that were better than anything on Backspacer
