Yep, Social D had it on their website over the weekend, but have since removed it. Probably because they are waiting for Ten Club / Pearl Jam to make official announcement.
I dont think its disappointing, I just think people were building expectations that it was going to be something crazy like Soundgarden or Bruce. Even with no justified evidence.
+1
Bad Religion were awesome in Chicago, I felt lucky to see them
"Without the album covers, where do you clean your pot?" - EV
I'm not all that familiar with Bad Religion. Guess I will have to do some homework after work tonight!... assuming damn comcast gets their s*** together and fixes my cable.
"You can imagine where it goes from here."
"He fixes the cable?"

Sounds good! I'm going to the 28th and 30th, so I get to see one night of each opener!
I had the chance to see Bad Religion about six years ago, but I left after Snapcase opened. I had a paper to write for my college senior seminar class, and I was much more interested in Snapcase than Bad Religion.
Now I'll finally get to see "21st Century Digital Boy"!

Personally, I'd rather see Social D than Bad Religion for the 30/31.
I'm glad it's not someone like Soundgarden or Bruce. I think the highlight of the night should be PJ, not splitting the stage with another act.

I don't get all the hate for Bad Religion. This is the band that is pretty much responsible for SoCal punk. Epitaph Records was founded for the purpose of putting out Bad Religion albums.
There is just as much passion, intelligence and musicianship at a BR show as there is at a Pearl Jam show.
Give 'em a chance!
P.S. OlDiamondback, your response to the Christ comment was classic. Would I be correct to assume, from your screenname, that you are a Primus fan as well?

.
Agreed. I'm a punk rocker and for the life of me i cant get into these guys. To each their own I guess!
thats my problem.... i have every social d album- seen em live a million times. LOVE IT.
Tried to listen to BR years ago a few times- and even different eras of it, and it just didn't click.
But I'm gonna try again this week, 'cause taste changes over the years.

Yeah, I love me some Primus. It was either OlDiamondback or SouthboundPachyderm...
The only band I've seen more than Pearl Jam is Bad Religion and every time I see them I'm amazed at how they keep their energy and edge all these years later.

love that shit. primus would be a fun PJ opener in the future
Primus and Pearl Jam? That would be insane. Almost non-sensical but I would go see it without a second thought.
OlDiamondback, what is your fav BR album? Mine is a tie between No Control, The New America and New Maps of Hell.
I'd have to say No Control is my favorite but I do have a special place in my heart for Recipe for Hate that album got me through some crazy shit. The funny thing is I didn't know for years that Eddie did a verse of Watch it Die. I must have listend to that song in my car hundreds of times and one day I was listening to it at home with headphones and I was like WTF?! I had to look it up online to confirm it and sure as shit. I'll never forget that day.

Social awareness does not equal political activism!
5/23/2011- An utter embarrassment... ticketing failures too many to list.
