JOHNNY GUITAR hands down BEST SONG ON LP...so different yet so pearl jam....a little vitalogy sound to it
JUST BREATHE..." Into the wild ISH" sounds like ed was sick when they recorded it stuffy nose and shit.... but still awsome

Amongst the Waves....no codeish

unthought unknown GREAT SINGALONG song..going to sound great in concert...starts slow and low then it just progresses like a wave and crashes at the end ..

THIS IS WHERE IT KINDA GETS A LITTLE STRAINGE.........

speed of sound sounds like it should be a country radio station.......MY OPION... NOT GOOD AT ALL...... should have left this one on the cutting room floor

Force of Nature........not so much...
The End...... slow Ed solo... violins ...yes i said VIOLINS in the back round...

So because I don't live on Long island I can't agree with Yoy about Speed of sound? Really I can not? ok. So i will wait and for a few days I'll start to scream... I read that was the last song They recorded. Probably They were in hurry...

Actually it's one of the things that are included as part of your annual $20 fee, thus making it a right.

  • Best song in my opinion is: Johnny Guitar

But, I love the entire thing. The other highlights are:

    Unthought Known
    Amongst the Waves
    The End
    Just Breathe
    Got Some
    Gonna See My Friend

Supersonic is growing on me, and I enjoy Speed of Sound. I'm even starting to like The Fixer, which I really didn't like at all when I first heard it. This is definitely up there with No Code, Yield, and Vitalogy.

  • Maybe someone around here can explain this release date crap to me. Why is it that retailers will have a CD sitting in their back room for days before a "release date" and not be allowed to put it on the shelves? Why does the Ten Club, the official merchandise store of Pearl Jam, have to wait to ship them closer to the release date when it was stated LAST WEEK that they were all packed up and ready to ship? They are probably losing potential sales as the leak becomes more and more widespread. Seems like a decent amount of artists have been moving up release dates once their albums leak.

These are legitimate questions that hopefully someone can answer for me. It's really quite silly that we aren't allowed to talk about an album that is sitting in the backrooms of every target and sitting in the 10 club warehouse. If you don't want it to be downloaded illegally, just release the thing.
  • if we're now allowed to talk about it, holy fuck, it's bloody amazing. have had it on repeat since saturday night. it rates as one of their best, and in the top 10 EVER imo. no weak tracks.
...Pearl Jam, a group filled with pride, passion, and intricate musicianship. Their music is full of subtle textures, rich color, soul-searching power, imagery, and eerie dissonance.

it's the best on long island hands down. i was so glad they got enough money to rebuild after the fire. feels so weird not having it been run down grungy shop.
