Again no one said anything about the cause. You can make a donation to Bridge School whenever you want. When I buy a ticket I am going to the concert first, in that I would not go if I didn't like the lineup.

    The lineup is horrible.

    okay.

It's an atrocious lineup. Absolutely atrocious. I've gone frequently over the years, but not for that lineup. I remember when:

    CSNY
    Pearl Jam
    Incubus
    Willie Nelson
    Indigo Girls
    Couning Crows
    Wilco
    Dashboard Confessional

Those were the days. . .

Wow...of all the Bridge years to compare to...you pick 2003? That year was a snoozefest.

2001, 2004, 2006 all had much better lineups.

It's amazing how subjective these things are. I've been to many, many Bridge School Benefits, and I thought that was the best lineup. Just my take. When Wilco is the second band on, it's a good sign.
It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.
  • I think the lineup is pretty good, mainly because of Fleet Foxes and Monsters of Folk. If PJ were part of this I would seriously consider, cause along with Neil that would be a pretty stellar foursome of acoustic glory. I guess if you don't like the Fleet Foxes and Monsters of Folk the linup is pretty lame, but that'd be your loss.

Here's a link to a review from the San Jose Mercury news. http://blogs.mercurynews.com/aei/2009/1 ... efit-2009/

As I expected, a lackluster show. And not even close to being sold out.

Just got back from today's show.

Can't say that it was lackluster. Bridge is always an amazing experience, no matter who is playing. It's not a rock show. It's a laid back afternoon and evening of some great music.

Neil Young joining Adam Sandler's band to play Powderfinger are the type of moments that you can only find at Bridge.

The only act that I could really criticize is Fleet Foxes. Just not my cup o tea. They came off to me as pretentious assholes today.

No Doubt sounded amazing. Gwen looked amazing.

Best news is that on Nov. 24 they'll be releasing 22 new tracks on iTunes from old Bridge School Benefits. The program mentions the tracks will be from Trent Reznor (That was an awesome set he put on in '06) Tom Waits and the Kronos Quartet (He stole the show in '07) Death Cab For Cutie ('06 or '08? who knows...) and more.

Trent Reznors set was probably top 5 most amazing performances I've ever seen! Amazing and chilling!
