Thanks! I had called the record store and someone had told me it was to be posted on that Wed. I was off that day so I hung around the area checking my phone for updates. After quite a few hours I was about to give up. So, I basically ended up going in the store and asking if they had one and they handed it to me. In hindsight, I wish I had gone in earlier, but I was just stoked to have it.
One more thing, the employee that told me about the posting mentioned an orange vinyl was sent to store employees and one was to be given away. I must say they had to have more than one because the picture that ended up being tweeted showed an open orange vinyl. Mine was completely sealed (I ended up opening it to check)and still in the wrap . That is unless they re-shrinkwrapped it. Just putting that out there for the debate on how many were made.

Plan 9 called me Wednesday, letting me know my Backspacer vinyl was in. I guess I should have gone that day and picked it up...who knows what else I may have found on Cary St.? :roll:
I won one at the Easy Street Seattle cd launch party. It wasn' t sealed at all. Just open like the regular white vinyls are. I turned around with it after being presented this beauty, and somebody offered me $100 cash for it. I kindly said, "No way."

Nah, got out of my meeting an hour after the tweet, ditched outta work, got there 90 mins after the tweet and it was gone. The gal said it went FAST!! She gave me some cool Backspacer stickers though. And a haul of 3 posters was waiting for me when I dejectedly crawled into the house, including my PJ Outside Lands Fest snake. s'all good.
I wonder if maybe we'll get a few when they're here in November? That'd be awesome! Except if exotics visiting for the show picked them up, instead of natives! :(

About 2/3 of the stores on Think Indie were also on the cims.com site, so it's likely there are still other independent record store associations out there. Google is your friend, try a search for record stores in your area. Good luck!
