I think it's disrespectful to mention the people who died on 9/11 and ignore the people who died as a result of America using 9/11 to justify illegal wars - namely the hundreds of thousands of innocent people in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as the millions who have been made refugees, and the millions more who have had their lives ruined.

We took a moment of silence at work today for the victimes of 9/11. It's the least we all can do is honor them, at least before we start fighting about who's fault it was. But I see I'm too late for that.
And I think re-watching the attack on t.v. is doing the victims and their families no justice. I never, ever, want to see those images again, and feel that no one should have to, to remember how awful a day it was. That includes Bush's ugly mug while he sat in a classroom doing nothing. My friend's father was killed in the towers on 9/11, we were only in middle school at the time, it was very sad, so i can definitely empathize with those who lost loved ones in the attacks, but that doesn't mean we should forget all those who were killed because of our country acting irresponsibly, to say the least.
edit: nor should we forget the people living in our country who have been affected by racial profiling and by laws like the PATRIOT ACT.
Why not go after the people who did this and I'm not talking about Iraq. If the soldiers didn't want to die for this country they should not have signed up for the military.
