    Anyone know what this is?

Bump, because I'd like to know what these "Interview Sessions" being released in November is about also. ;)
  • ever done a google search?

log onto the world wide web and type in http://www.google.com. in the search box type in "independent music stores" and the name of the town you live in. you should see multiple listings.

THEN...use your rotary phone and dial their phone number. it should be 10 digits. the phone will ring a few times. then somebody will answer. what you need to do next is pretty complicated: ASK HIM IF HE WILL BE CARRYING THE NEW PEARL JAM ALBUM DUE OUT ON 9/20. if he says no, you can ask him to order it specifically for you (most places place their orders by the wednesday before the release date). if he says no again you will have to go to the 2nd listing off of your google search and repeat the steps i just covered with you.

    good luck.

    Man, I love this guy.

I know nothing about the interviews, but I used to shop at Zia in high school. Horizon '99! Got the hell out of that hell hole! Sorry, never a fan of Phoenix but my folks live there and I visit often.

GO, GO, MOM AND POPS!!! "So Mom and Pop's plan was to move into the neighborhood, establish trust ... for 48 years, and then run off with Jerry's sneakers?"

    "Apparently" :lol::lol::lol:

here's an idea...buy it from the band....on this site....they created the music, and paid to have it made. why take half of their money and give it to an uptight record clerk?

    i hope you're joking.

But they could have really done a new Radiohead or NIN type move, Done something that really turned the industry on its ear, and was another blow to the already unstable "industry" (the quotes are intended).
    a cd.

what radiohead did was simply a publicity stunt. they turned around and sold it in stores shortly after...and sold a shitload of copies too

I'm choosing to buy Backspacer from an independent hopefully local music store. But here's the thing...finding it. So it may take a while, I have no problem with that. Here's the question TC -- what are supposed to do, search until we actually find an independent, or is there a way to find out where it will be sold? Any help would be much appreciated.

Any other fans choosing the alternate and supporting the little guy in this recession?

um, Jeagler? Your age is showing. Try not to be that way next time you want to reply to someone's question. That was totally unnecessary.

lol...my age is showing? what are you talking about dude?

i'm willing to wager that most non-chain record stores will qualify as an "independent". if the store's main business is selling music and it's not one store of a massive chain i bet they'll be carrying it. get in there and support the indies. maybe even pick up a few items on 09.20. we've got to keep the local record store alive and well.

I'm not a dude, and your response was childish.
