  • Being from South African now living in the Uk.

Uk and Sony South Africa Pearl Jam releases are the same.

I spent loads of money importing Pearl Jam CDs and LPS to South Africa. I guess the best
thing to do is buy via the Ten Club....

Not quite, there are subtle differences, for example

    http://www.pjcollectors.com/detail.asp?id=747

They are all issued out of the RSA, some have slight differences in the arts, and discs.....

do you know of any online stores...??

  • To clarify, were you serious about owning ten copies of Riot Act? What do you do with them all when you have them? Put them on a shelf and dust them every now and then? :?

Just thought it was maybe a poke at people who do have every version of every album. I personally cannot understand it, even if its for a bonus track or w/e you can just find them uploaded on the internet. Aside form that whats the difference?

all good questions, but ask someone who collects baseball cards the same thing, or toy trains, or matchbox cars, or star wars toys still in their boxes, stamps, coins etc ....

yes to the majority its odd, moronic, and stupid....

    am I all of those???........maybe......

    But thats what i do...

i was just trying to emphasise that collecting is strange unless you like the subject...I dont get coin collectors at all, i find it wierd...some people are paying over £500 right now for an undated 20p on ebay. Sounds odd to me, hence I see why people think this is barking mad. But honestly i couldnt care less.

Theres nothing drastically different about it per say just some RSA markings,

but take this version of the mexican v's as a good example of a different pressing being a little cooler than the norm

    http://www.pjcollectors.com/detail.asp?id=587

picture disc with the album art. beats the orange disc, but I agree with you, the music on the disc is no different, so you'll ask whats the point?
