Being athlete is not defined by how many calories you burn.
Golf is much like baseball, but are you going to sit here and say Tiger isn't an athlete.
Who started this sideshow?
I think Tiger is an athlete as he achieves a lot of what he does by being in superb physical shape but I don't think you can class all golfers as athletes. Think John Daly.
1. Roberto Clemente
2. Bobby Orr
3. Sir Garfield Sobers
4. Pele
5. Julius Erving
Honorable Mention...Eric Heiden..Speed Skater
I like to vary the sports
Peace
I believe that is now Dr. Eric Heiden....seriously....did his intern work at UAB.
My five, in no order:
Steve Yzerman
Wayne Gretzky
Roger Staubach
Julius Erving
Troy Aikman
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.
Eric Lindros
Ron Hextall
Shjon Podein
Alex Ovechkin
aaaannnd Keith Primeau.
I'm kind of a little bit of a Flyers fan.
I thought I was the only Flyers fan who didn't hate or disown Lindros - good to see someone else list him. Here is my list:
Chase Utley
Eric Lindros
Jameer Nelson
Michael Jordan (the will he had to win was amazing to watch)
Ron Hextall ('87 still one of the greatest performances by one player I've ever seen - almost carried them to the Cup against the greatest offensive machine ever in Gretzky's Oilers).
Mario Lemieux
Steve Yzerman
Ron Francis
Troy Polamalu
My whole life
was like a picture
of a sunny day

1. Deion Sanders - The greatest cornerback of all time and the reason I became a Nole fan. One heckuva entertainer too.
2. Dale Murphy - I'm a braves die hard fan. Dale was my childhood hero.
3. Michael Jordan - Best ever! Watching him play ruined the NBA for me, because no one will ever be worth watching comparably.
4. Dennis Rodman - The guy was a beast and an even better entertainer. Gotta love Rodzilla.
5. Babe Ruth - Obviously before my time, but I am a huge fan of him. The best ever.
Evander Holyfield
Carlos Beltran
Chad Pennington
Michael Jordan
Roger Federer
'I want to hurry home to you
put on a slow, dumb show for you
and crack you up
so you can put a blue ribbon on my brain
god I'm very, very frightening
and I'll overdo it'
1. Steve Young - greatest QB of all time in my opinion. Even though the 49ers were my team, watching the games were more about watching Steve Young play.
2. Magic Johnson - Watching this guy play basketball was like watching Michael Jackson dance: smooth as hell!
3. Kobe Bryant - Whenever he is on the court, my Lakers always have a good chance at winning, no matter what the score is.
4. Aaron Rodgers - best player to come out of Cal in a long time. I watched him throughout his college career and knew he would be a success as an NFL QB. Forget athleticism, success in the NFL as a QB is about good decision making, ARod is a GREAT decision maker.
5.Anyone one of the Dodgers young guns: Kemp, Loney, Ethier, Martin. Its gonna be sad when they eventually get split up.
