All the best to Philly, but on the east coast New York and Boston are the best venues and best fans for the band. I live in Jersey and held out on getting philly tix because i figured dates would open for Boston and NYC. Come on guys. There is no way you'd just play Philly in the northeast.

It's not happening. Philly is only happening because the venue is closing.

So unless you want to shut down MSG or the Fleet Center or whatever they call it these days, no shows in NYC or Boston are happening till 2010.

  • Nothing in that neck of the woods yet, probably not till next year. Why does everyone from that area feel a sense of entitlement to a PJ show. You had your shows in 06 and 08... its time to take a break.

you've got to be kidding. they come there all the time. there are many, many, many other places that are more deserving. i don't mean that other places are better, but rather that other places have not had a show in a LONG time. lat time i checked, they played up there in 2006 & 2008.

  • Geeze. just saying. i'd have a better response but i am busy listening to my 3 cd's of no repeated songs concerts from Boston days past.

Plus, anyone who has been to the spectrum knows, it deserves no hallowed closing.

I disagree vehemently with that. It was seeing PJ at the Spectrum that got to me to start following the band around to recreate that night and so far nothing has matched it.

  • because great woods and the garden or jones beach or msg makes spectrum look like a piece of crap..

and you can't bring up or say anything about yellow ledbetter. They played it twice so peopel would go home.. that was blapheming....

They couldve picked a btetr spot on eats coast is all i mean.

The Spectrum is in the same ballpark with MSG as far as good venues. The Fleet Center reminds me of Wachovia Center which sucks. Boston fans are cool, and New York is just a diversity of fans, but no reason to rip Philly!

your credibility went out the window when you typed 'blapheming'

MSG and the Spectrum are better than any venue in boston (and that's not a knock on the boston fan base). The spectrum is a GREAT concert venue
  • Not to pee in your cereal or anything but as much as I love seeing shows in my native state of New York and neighboring state of Massachusetts ... I have to question the creation of this thread in general...

Because don't you think that if someone here knew about a show or two or ten in the aforementioned areas they would be mentioned here already?

Ah yes, the storied history of the Comcast Center in Mansfield is legendary in its 23 year existence. ;)

Have you actually seen a concert at the Spectrum? It's no MSG, but out of the other venues I've seen PJ it comes close. It's better than the Fleet Center, Susquehanna Center, Holmdel, Izod, Wachovia Center, to name a few.

you all need to accept the fact that the Boston/MA area is way better than anywhere any of you live. Plus, PJ loves us the most...that's pretty clear. it's because we are really the greatest fans there are.

........but seriously i don't care if they came to Boston last year i wanna see them just as much as any of you. It's also funny the ones making the most comments are from Philly, Chicago...places they played recently/are playing in the near future.

Yeah, we're all definitely assholes in once sense or the other - especially here in Philly, which I'll admit whole-heartedly - but people wonder why it comes out in us in full-force when you make blind, ignorant statements like above. And being an asshole is every NorthEastern'ers God given right.(Yeah, yeah, I know it's said differently in Ghostbusters)
