Btw...I watched the Youtube video of NaiS and every time I ask myself "Why does Stone use an acoustic simulator???" haha..it sounds so bad! Either rock the electric or bust out one his 2k Martins...haha
i was disappointed with Binaural the night it came out (expecting it to trump Yield or something), but it has got better with age. Light Years was my favorite track the night Binaural came out and still is.

Binaural is one of those albums I really liked when it came out, got overplayed and was put away for a few months after the 2000 boots came out but is now firmly established in my top 4 and is one of my favourite albums by any band ever. On my walkman I have it as normal, in my preferred different running order and 2 different live mixes. Such a warm and comforting album to listen to with headphones especially while semi intoxicated. It's almost demeaning to talk about the individual songs such is the strength of the whole thing. I fucking love it!! Nice thread Ed.

Their last innovative album for me, it was a huge U-Turn from Yield, but I loved them for that. The last 3 albums have had some great great songs (WWS, Severed Hand, I Am Mine, All Or None, Unthought Known, Got Some) but I don't like them as albums.

* - Hartford fiasco of '08. They played Breakerfall AND God's Dice while I was standing in that terrible mess of a line outside about to shit my pants. I was like a dad-to-be anxiously waiting outside the hospital room, shaking and pacing - only this was much more serious. It's the only time I've not been to a PJ concert an hour or more before the opener. It was a mid week show and I couldn't get off early for the drive from Providence. Still got there at 6:30 thinking I was fine and didn't get to my seat until the 6th song. Unreal. I'm still cringing over what I missed. But lesson learned. I'll just get fired next time. (the band did apologize to me by playing In Hiding and Smile though, so all was not lost).

definitely hoping for some Binaural other than Evacuation since i have heard that before live. That is the only one.

I recently listened to Vancouver 2009 bootleg and heard Light Years. It made me tear up because it was then that I realized that I would probably never get to hear Light Years like it was on the 2000 tour -full of emotion and played at THE TEMPO IT WAS WRITTEN.
Unless of course something tragic happen which makes the band get all down again. Of course, I really don't wish this to happen and I am extremely glad they are not a wallowing band anymore. I would rather see them happy onstage as that inspires me to be more positive/happy in my life. I just wish they played those classics the way they should be played. I got angry when I heard some live version of Given to Fly from 2006.....

If i could have them play one album straight through in a show, Itd be this one...with Sad.
Me as well, love this album! The only song I really don't care that much for is Sleight of Hand, but they'd have to add in Sad and Fatal, two of their best!!

I was listening to my PJ collection prior to the show in Perth 2009. And spent a lot of time on Binaural. When they opening cords of the concert were strung, I knew instantly that it was Breakerfall. What an awesome way to kick off a show. It makes such a terrific opener, it really helps sets the tone! I

it took me until last year to fully appreciate every song. i'd love to get of the girl as an opener
