I'm embarrassed to say it but, "I don't know!" The plants grow easily in Florida. I have a few that grow up the back yard fence.

we have them here in oz as well. we(meaning me) just call them sticky blue flowers cause they have a tendency to hitchhike when you brush up against them. heres some pics i took last thursday morning:
