No. These are the new branches on a tree that's somewhat like a palm tree. I'm not sure what kind it actually is. (I am still learning the names of common plants down here!)
I have some more I'll put up tomorrow that show a bit more of the tree. It's in the shady part of my backyard. I took these because everytime a new layer of "leaves?" comes out, the shape and texture is really interesting!

those flowers are pretty...it's really cool that you were able to capture the bumblebee too

From this picture, it looks like a big fern or something in the palm family. It's beautiful
