Why are Pearl Jam's US shows never GA standing like all their shows in Europe?

    Serious question.
to many drunken assholes would push there way to the front and start "moshing". it be a total nightmare. also people in america aren't as friendly to each other as people in europe.

So is this the same for gigs by any band that plays any gig in America?

I think people look at this fan club 10C ticket situation all wrong. I originally joined the 10C to make sure I had the best chance to get ANY ticket. The fact that normally they are pretty good (my 10C # is 383xxx) has always been a huge BONUS. The fact I pay a crumby 20 bucks a year and get this opportunity plus all the other goodies seems a bloody bargain. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ALL YOU COMPLAINERS? Stop it.

Well following the world's greatest band to Chicago from RI has been aweful.

The 10c did me no favors with the WORST seats I have EVER had to see PJ! From here on I am going to have to admit that I am going to be supporting the very scalpers you are trying to defeat with the member only pre-sales.

I would have happily passed on these seats for a local club member to enjoy the show. MAYBE... Just MAYBE that SHOULD be an option... seeing as seats aren't on sale to the public at the time when you take my order. THE SCALPERS ARE CHARGING LESS... LESS for the seats next to mine!!!!!

Right now 10c I think you SUCK!!!!!

Tell EV I double dare him to sing this song to the level 300 complainers!!!

Hmm.... sometimes I like to think that EV likes to mess with people's heads sometimes....

How about Hail Hail and singing to the crowd up there for the entire song?

    That'd mess with their heads....?

Yup. This is the same reason I joined. I'm ecstatic to be able to attend the last 2 Philly shows this year. I know they're high demand shows so we won't get great seats with my # (401xxx) but we're there and that's what matters. If we do luck out and win the lottery one of those nights (10/30 would be awesome seeing it's our 10th anniversary...hint, hint 10C ;) ) then so be it, but if not than that's fine too. I think people need to realize these are just concerts, and you can pay $1000+ per ticket if you really NEED to be as close as possible, but in the end you're going to hear the same songs and have the same great experience (if you choose to!) as everyone else in the venue.

People need to chill the f*ck out!

How much did you sell your 10c seats for?

And how much did you buy the better seats for? Through the box office?

    Just curious...

There seriously needs to be some kind of expectation adjustment for new members attending really popular shows. I'm middle of the pack at 196xxx and while I usually end up somewhere in the 15-20 row range I fully expect to be at the back of the floor or up in the wings when the Spectrum shows come around. Why? Because a shit ton of people are coming. So I get pushed back. And guess what? It'll still be amazing because I'm AT A PEARL JAM CONCERT.

I don't know about Chicago but the Ten Club made it very clear with the Philly shows that they had a larger number of seats available for the fan club and some of us (i.e. those of us with high 10 club #s) would have seats comparable to the general public seating. I bought 10 club tickets for 3 of the 4 shows. I have a shitty 10 club number and I know that I will be sitting somewhere in the 300 level but you won't here me bitching about it...why?? Because I'm just thankful to have tickets and being able to see my favorite band 3 times in one week. It does not matter where you sit at a concert it is what you make out of it. I'm going to have an awesome time regardless of where they sit me. :D

I know... because i can imagine the worst seats ever would be sitting in the middle of a giant pile of shit at a Jonas Brothers Concert between a drunk Usama Bin Laden and Charles Manson. THAT would be the worst seat ever.

I can't believe I'm gonna reply to this post, but I feel I must add my 02.

The 10club does the best they can with everything. At least you got to go to a show. Texas is getting one show and it is GA and a festival. It will be great... absolutely; but just be glad you got to attend the show . I would have loved to just be in the building.

Most people who have been in 10c long and paid attention to how the shows were announced were probably expecting worse tickets than usual. As far as anyone knew when announced this was it for this year. LOTS of out of towners

In my case, THANK YOU 10C for the ease of ordering tickets to roughly sixty - five shows in the last 4 years. Thank you for being a means to seeing my favorite band, meeting so many incredible fellow hardcore PJ fans; the salt of the earth ; and seeing five continents . No bitching here. I'm 286xxx and know Philly is a Crapshoot/Comatose at best for someone with my number .

Santos--ignore the haters. There are many people out who more than appreciate all the Ten Club does for them. My wife and I just got back from the Chicago show, and we had a wonderful time sitting nowhere near where we usually do(3 rows up on side stage as opposed to floor), and you know what? We loved it. My wife, who's only 5'0, could see everything for once! Noone in my section complained. Most, in fact, were grateful that we had such a good view as opposed to the back of the floor. So thank you. We had a wonderful time. See you tomorrow!
  • I don't know about y'all but next time I'm at the winder I'm asking for Santos with a crisp $20 in my hand.

This person got bad seats because they're a new fan. To that I say good. Let the people who have been in it longer get better seats.
