Great show, rocked my arse off except for a few songs that I didn't care for, such as (Corduroy, Given To Fly, Unemployable, Down, and Small Town).

Besides that the show rocked. Opening with Of the Girl was great. Lots of rockers including Brain Of J which was great! Overall, an awesome show.

Loved Why Go, Brain Of J, Faithful, 1/2 Full, Lukin, Not For You, Evolution (missed Inside Job - stupid slow beer line), Porch, and Rockin' In The Free World!

Has anyone seen my socks? Pearl Jam rocked them off. I liked this the best of the four shows I'd been to before this. Band sounds SO tight, Eddie's voice was excellent, crowd was great, setlist was great, and energy was through the roof.

Eddie played 2 songs from Neil Young before the actual concert, Sugar Mountain and The needle and the damage done. Then Mike played two songs with his acoustic guitar. Stone then played one and Eddie came back with Jeff and played Bee Girl. Then Pharmacist played with the help of Mike and Eddie. Sorry if I do not know the name of the other songs played. Could someone fill the gaps?

One additional comment, Eddie commented about the current health care debate in the states and asked if it looked absurd from a canadian point of with where we have universal health care. Most people laughed at his comment and question. This was just before unemployable.

One question to Richard (from Seatle) who bought a ticket for his daughter from me. Did she enjoy the show?

    +1

That was a great show. Could have done without wishlist but overall the setlist was great. Preset was a nice treat, crowd had great energy. The poster is awesome too so that was a bonus.

just amazing night - setlist doesn't do the night justice. energy and crowd was nuts the entire show. Ed explained Ted was heldup with a customs (passport) thing and the band was going to do their best to entertain us and then Ed would debut his new band Eddie Vedder and the Pharmacists. Of the Girl was perfect. Other highlights were Sugar Mountain, Needle and the Damage Done, Bee Girl with Jeff, a beautiful Save it for Later call and answer on Betterman, Off He Goes, Lukin and Porch. Mike was zoned in and shreded it. They had two PJ Toronto shirts...a stickman and a Leafs-style design with Pearl Jam in the crest and Toronto 21 on the back. Don't love Rockin in the Free World to close, but I'll chaulk it up to Neil. Amazing night - amazing band. Thanks to the 10c for putting me in 203 with my crappy number. I am jealous for everyone going to Chicago. This band is on fire.

Bang on review of the show. It was the whole night in a nutshell.
But I have to give due where due is earned....... Faithful, 1/2 Full and Porch - the boys were spot on tonight - well jelled, and all of them, fully in the zone of greatness. Eddie's voice....... what can one say - lovely. Those old comments about it cracking and him struggling........... don't think so. He couldn't have been any better than he gave us tonight.
They didn't need any encouragement - but they sure got some from the crowd - excellent vibe.
    Thoroughly enjoyed myself.

I'm too tired to read--quite literally, I hasten to mention--so I'll simply say this: tonight, Mr. Mike McCready committed grand larceny. Never have I ever seen him, or anyone else, steal a concert quite like he did tonight; I'll go on the record as saying "Black," "Alive" and (especially) "Porch" have new definitive versions. The rest of the band was great, too, but Mike was feelin' it tonight. Re: "Porch," it's never been a live favourite of mine--but tonight's version was otherworldly, and it culminated with Ed going into the crowd (which I haven't seen since Jones Beach II back in 2000). What a splendid night that was.

Oh, and the opening "thing" was surreal. Utterly surreal.

The version of Black tonight didn't even remotely come close to Ottawa '05.

Aside from the hyperbole it was a great show.... particularly the first half.... got bogged down a bit in the second half with Better Man and such.

    Inside Job was a highlight.

Its important to realise this tour that the setlists don't matter so much, the band are so on fire it's a pure delight to just see what they throw out

this set doesn't look great but I still imagine the night was awesome

to the guy who doesn't like given to fly, what??? And missing songs for beer? WTF?
  • Pretty damn tired at 3:35 am on Saturday morning.

Sum up some stuff and longer review tomorrow:

I heard via Twitter that Ted Leo was stuck in a New York Airport.

Because of that I was able to see and tape this, enjoy:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRnP6aspWLs

... and Alive rocked more than I have ever heard. Mr. Mike McCready was beyond words tonight.
