Might just be the first game the Jays sell out this year.

if the jays put a more competitive product on the field then maybe they would get the support.
    Remember '92 & '93??

But it's more than that... the Leafs haven't had competitive product for a decade.... but they still sell out... I just wish there were more baseball fans. I'm not looking for 50,000 fans at every game, but 30-35 would be nice!

I hate the Red Sox with every fibre of my being... always have... always will. They're all so fucking annoying with their gimmick swinigs (Youk), terrible beards (Ortiz), stupid fucking necklaces (Pedroia, Elsbury), Papelbon in general... oh... and the fans.

The only good thing about Toronto is Trish Stratus and the Hockey Hall of Fame!

Woo, Hamilton! I'm at Mac for school. Can't say I like it more than Toronto though, personally. Especially from a food perspective.

ahh, but you can't compare baseball to hockey in this town, my friend.
baseball will lose every single time.

Now see, I am a die-hard bosox fan - going on 35 yrs now and I've had my share of highs and lows
with them. Their appearances or gimmicks or whatever else about them rubs people the wrong way
doesn't bother me because they are who they are and they are competetive.

The fans are passionate, critical and know their baseball.
It's a way of life for them.
    Much like hockey is here.

  • Yeah, I know.
Like I said.. I'm a jaded Blue Jays fan. I know if Padroia was on my team, I'd think it's terrific. I'd move him to short-stop.. but I'd like him. As for Youkilis, Ortiz, and Papelbon.. they can all suck a back of dicks.

I miss having a winning ball club to cheer for. My fav' NL team is the Pirates. What the hell is the matter with me?!

still hasn't been proven that Papi did anything wrong and how is 2007 in all this? The Black Sox scandal is the biggest scandal in sports history according to most experts.

I can't speak for every team, but the same thing happens in Cleveland. When they were selling out every game during the 90's, it wasn't a problem, but now, anytime the Yankees are in town especially, and now Boston to, those are the best selling games of the year, and unfortunately that is because there a bunch of lame fans who seem to just come out of the woodworks, to support "their" team. If New York or Boston ever really suck again, it would be interesting to see if all these fans still show up, because I bet they won't.
words seem so out of place.
