Do you guys think Ed would be in favor of the Town Hall meetings? I would hope so after his 6 years of complaining about having his "voice denied" by the Bush administration.

It's always interesting when the shoe goes on the other foot.

Of course he is in favor of them. I think what Ed would have a problem with is all these people going to the protests now were telling people who didn't support Bush in 2003 leading up to the war to "support the president at all costs" and to "love it or leave it"

it is fucking crazy. that is all there is to it. it's just fucking crazy. these people have every right to have their gun, but what message are you trying to send when you bring them to these forums. "Vote my way or I'll kill you"???

folks like this really need to experience a full cavity search and "enhanced" interrogation techniques at the hands of the Secret Service. Just because you aren't currently pointing a gun at the president doesn't mean you shouldn't be considered a threat.

did you see the chris matthews interview with the guy from New Hampshire? he said asking him why he brought a gun (holding a sign that said "it's time to water the tree of liberty" or something close) to the event wasn't even a relavent question!

You watch Chris Matthews?? HAHAHA......Do you get a shiver up your leg when Obama speaks???? FUNNY, FUNNY, FUNNY

How was his voice denied by the Bush Administration? What did you really expect to happen?

    sigh

maybe you should stop making all these assumptions, it's making you look silly

i just don't care where Obama was born. If Bush had been born in Belgium i would care just as little. maybe if he spent 1/2 his life in another country or something i would care but regardless of where he was born his mom was an american so he is as well and he spent his life as an american.

what are you trying to say? your first sentence makes it seem like you don't believe his voice was denied but your second sentence has an air of 'well, no duh!' making it seem like it was obvious his voice would be denied.... :?:

And I'm sure you watch Fox where Obama could rescue a pregnant woman from a burning building and they'd still say "just another example of President Obama taking government too far".

BBC is the only way to go.

However, I know that he people bringing assault rifles to see the President are using them as a threat. They're not trying to exercise their 2nd amendment rights, they're trying to stir up fear so they can cry about their rights.

They're bitter that their big bag of bullshit didn't get bought in the last election and they're now getting more paranoid, more upset, more unhinged.

The good news is that they're showing their real colours and the president can mess up a lot before anyone is going to vote against him if all the Republican Party has to offer is threats, intimidation, lies and childish temper tantrums....

    +1

i agree with everything you said here. the part about intimidation is what i have been trying to say all along, but you put it much more concisely than i ever did.
