How good are the conquest bsides? A record store where I used to live had a bunch of them but I wasn't into them then but I might be passing through in a day or 2
I think they are worth buying.
i got the 3 and the blue orchid 7".
but i saw a raconteurs 12" and it made me think....the 12" only had 2 songs, salute your solution (which is min) and the bside was top yourself (bluegrass version), which is also the bside to one of their 2 old enough 7"s
so, couldn't this have been a 7" instead of a 12", which costs about twice as much as a 7", and couldn't they have made the conquest 7"s a single 12"?
don't compete; coexist
what are you but my reflection? who am i to judge or strike you down?
"I will promise you this, that if we have not gotten our troops out by the time I am president, it is the first thing I will do. I will get our troops home. We will bring an end to this war. You can take that to the bank." - Barack Obama
when you told me 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em'
i was thinkin 'death before dishonor'
For me, Get Behind Me Satan is their weakest effort,
Thank god for that I thought I was on my own on this one!!

Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V

All of the White Stripes albums are interchangeable for me. I really like them all, I couldn't name a favourite and I don't really hate any. I think that as a complete body of work, their catalogue is amazing. A 'Best Of' would have about 30 songs on it!
Sure there are a few songs that I don't like and I think they are awful live (seen them 3 times and always been disappointed - sorry) but as far as studio work goes they are definitely one of the best bands around at the moment.

I've just 'got' Icky Thump after many , many listens. I literally hated it at first but one day it just clicked... he poured a lot of himself into that music.

Interesting, I put the one show I saw of them as one of my top 5 shows ever!

I hope to get my hangover today!
There's a constant ringing in my ears
Sense of humor's void and numb
And I'm bored to tears.......
