Icky Thump is great, but Get Behind Me Satan is awesome. I remember when that album came out..I was driving solo from Houston to Kansas City for my brothers wedding. i stopped at a Best Buy in Denton, TX on my way to pick up Get Behind Me Satan. I listened to it over & over on my way there...

Blue Orchid is such an addicting song! Red Rain blew my socks off when I first heard it too. Get Behind Me Satan is a great record...but I haven't listened to Icky Thump too much.. :?

My fave Stripes album is De Stijl- that is the masterpiece for me; but all Stripes records are awesome. Though I didn't care for the self titled one that much.

Get Behind Me Satan has only ever seen a UBER limited pressing of promo copies. If you seen one for sale, for a reasonable price....kick yourself for not getting it. They sell for $250 new at the store in Nashville.
I'm hopin it's the next vault release, or that Jack White shows up at my door with one.
i didn't notice the price as i wasn't into them, it was on the wall of a local record store. i was there today and all they have is icky thump. they had a live bob dylan set for $75 and Sigur Rós' Ágætis Byrjun for i don't know how much.

Get Behind Me Satan has a run of 300 copies, per Mrs. Jack Lawrence. That explains the $$$. I cant see them re-releasing it since they are selling it for $250 themselves...but more f-ed up shit has happened before I guess...
