thanks for starting this thread! GREAT shows ... GREAT memories. that was my first time on oahu and i loved it so much ... i'm going back! i leave on saturday for 8 days!! thanks to PJ for turning me onto my new annual winter trip to escape the cold!

The 12/2/06 show was on my 30th birthday I feel so lucky to have spent it with old friends, new friends, and PJ...man, talk about unforgettable!
Laura, Eric, Amy, Chrissy, Janet, Michelle & Toby, Chip, Patrick, Rodger, Mic - love you all and I have to say I daydreamed about our good times in Hawaii all day yesterday! We went for brunch (in the freezing cold Chicago rain, ugh) and when my waffles arrived with a purple orchid on the plate...I *almost* thought I was back on the islands!
So many great memories - running into a million people in PJ shirts at the hotel, Duke's, swimming, Hawaii 78, Diamond Head, the lovely Hui Malama folks at the pre-party, and meeting so many other friendly fans whose names I may have forgotten, but whose kindness I'll always remember. Hope to see you all on tour again, someday soon. You are truly great people.
Off to go listen to the boot and pretend Ed's singing Happy Birthday to me...

happy birthday maggie!!!! it really was a lot o' fun, wasn't it? met some awesome people at the preparty and up at North Shore (where I met Jeff), lunch at Duke's the next day...good times!

Hubby and I are going to see Stevie Wonder this Sunday for my bday. Not quite the same as PJ, but we're both fans of Stevie (yes, we're old) and we've never heard him live.

one year ago today i arroved in San Diego for a fun week.. got to see my favorite band (boyhitscar) in Irvine, Ca, and got to look for donkey shows in Tijuana.. tho it woulda been fun to head a few hundred more miles west and see PJ in paradise
It was my first time to Hawaii too and what an amazing way to go?!?!? Drank way too many Mai Tai's but the memories will last a lifetime. I can't wait to go back. Maybe Maui next time!
Hey, Senrock ... I'm most definitely going to the North Shore for the surf competitions. Probably two or three days. I stayed on the Pipeline beach (Ehukai?) both days last year, so I might try roaming around down at Sunset and the lower beaches this year as well. Can't wait. Those guys are just amazing. I'm gonna give body surfing a try again this year. Last year, I got banged up a bit on some rocks and pussied out after about 20 minutes!
I'm gonna miss having a PJ show on the agenda ... but I'll have my ipod with me. I can relive the glory of 06 while I'm soaking up the sun!

It's great to hear so many memories from the December 06 show in Hawaii. I was living in NY at the time an flew out for the 12/9 show, awesome. I'm living here on Oahu now and would love to see them come to the islands again!
The Kokua festival was pretty good this year, Dave played with a Jack Johnson. Wishful thinking, but I was waiting for Ed to come out! He just played Santa Barbra, I believe, so I thought there might be a chance he would come out but as it turned out I just got my hopes up for nothing. Still a good show.
Any other PJ fans out there in Hawaii!!! Lets have a meet up!!
