  • Bush has abosultely nothing to do with anything, so grow up and get over that.

They played the state on 2 tours while his bitch ass was in office.

They will return, give it 2010 and if you see any of the band members out there on the streets tell them you're pissed with them passing on Texas I know I would.

No aftershow at ACL. Just got an email with the presale info for all the aftershows and PJ is not listed. Maybe they'll announce something later. I've never been to ACL so I don't know the protocol but it sounds like the schedule was finalized.

they don't have time for an aftershow with the taping and LA on both ends.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

  • I've been bitching about this for years, and in an earlier post I said that if they don't come through here (Dallas) or somewhere close in 2010 the I'm done with them, and I stand by that. Why do all the "Blue" states get all the love, while those of us relegated to living in the biggest "Red" state of them all get screwed?

You can say all you want that politics have nothing to do with it but I can see no other reason. We have great venues here (American Airlines Center, Cowboys Stadium), great amenities, and most of all great fans. But yet, no PJ ... we have waited patiently, but the natives grow restless.

And is it just me or have PJ become a publicity machine as of late??? The partnership with Target (with a commercial in the offing, for Gods sake), poppy sounding radio songs, The Tonight Show as opposed to Letterman, the little documentary online, the scavenger hunt, the pre-release snippets in the form of ring tones ... I'm not downing them for wanting to make a buck, but this whole thing smells a little whore-ish to me. Next thing you know they'll be on tour with U2 again (as U2 are the ultimate sellout whores).

You can't really use the Blue vs Red State argument. Colorado went from a "Purple State" to a strong Blue State in the last election. Meanwhie, Utah, a strong Red State, gets the show this time around. Believe me when I say I understand your frustration! The last time PJ came here was as an opener for Tom Petty or I'm sure we'd be in the same boat.

    Jesus fucking Christ.

Why don't you start a "Let's bitch about everything" thread?

I mean, fuck, the Target thing ... use the search function. You missed the cutoff for bitching about that. Over and done with. Somebody call PETA and report the dead horse you insist on beating.
