i was up to $75 bid, 3star downtown, and zilch. i see someone above bid $80 and zilch. looks like trying $85 tonight and hoping! i really, really don't want to spend over $100 a night. such a bummer missing out on the radisson deal. this was supposed to be an inexpensive pj weekend. 2 concert tix, 2 nights hotel, gas/tolls, eating/drinking....yikes. it could end up a $500 weekend! :shock: eh well......here's to hoping we all luck out with priceline!

Just did $90 for a 3 1/2 star and then did it again at 3 star and it didnt accept it. Wtf.

In all my experiences with Priceline, the best deals are to be had the week of (even the day or two before) your stay. I'm not sure that you folks will get the best deal right now. I'd stick to a price point and keep bidding it every few days on Priceline. The time to start raising your bid is if you can't get anything right before your stay. Philadelphia has a lot of hotel rooms.

Also, check www.betterbidding.com to look at different accepted offers. Also, read up on their re-bid strategy/tutorial if you aren't already familiar with it. In reality, you have way more than one bid to make in a 24-hour period, if you know how to use the system.

I just got a room at Club Quarters downtown through Priceline for $95, for Saturday 10/31 only.

I had been trying several bids for 3.5* hotels downtown - when I got to $90, I got the offer to "try again right now" for $22 extra. I ignored that but bumped my bid up to $95, which was accepted. Again, that was for the one night only. Those trying for multiple nights may have different experiences. Can't wait!
