44 pages!! I haven't even read half yet!!
The show sounds amazing so far! I have to get this one.
Thanks to Sian and Brisk and the others for the updates. Mucho appreciated!!
"We have to change the concept of patriotism to one of “matriotism” — love of humanity that transcends war. A matriarch would never send her own children off to wars that kill other people’s children." Sian hope you enjoyed relaying ... seems like you did a great job
So although Stone didn't play topless like Mike he did remove his shirt as he was leaving the stage :P
Other Ed comments:
after Why Go - "I'm becoming an admirer of your singing, you sound good"
after Evenflow - "If I could play drums like that I'd have the right to be the biggest asshole ... but Matt Cameron can play drums like that and he is also one of the best people on the planet"
It was a touch warm in the venue so when Ed sat down to play The End they put a big fan on him ... hair flowing in the breeze and he commented how it looked like an 80's video.
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?
hey Sian ... well done with not using the american dating method on this one... i can see 1432 confused americans looking at this and thinking "its fucking november already... where did my summer go!!"
I actually gave her the thread title
Nice show, the band were meant to come on at 8:30pm, but seemed to drag on till 8:45pm, ed was rather chatty.
People will kill me for saying this but i do feel a bit let down, i was hoping for some real nice rare songs but still seemed mainstreamy, roll on The Ahoy! Maybe seem rare to some people but heard all these songs many a time :P
Nothing from binaural yet on this tour :(
Even flow wasn't original studio but it did feel slower. DId not notice 'save it for later tag' i was about to text you with betterman/save it for later but i waited just in case.
There were 2 mics both sides of the each poking out into the crowd, then again this could be them just recording every show that they do. I know Sandra and Randell taped it, think someone else too.
Wow, great setlist. I love the Interstellar Overdrive intro, they opened with that at my first show.

We know they are recording every single show, but these 2 mics are also needed for their In-Ear-monitoring. Otherwise they wouldn't get a single crowd reaction to their ears.
Wow what a night. Was absolutely outstanding. One the fan view threads, some are quite dispondant. I think it was a special night. Had a good jump around, met some great people, saw my favourite band close up. I don't think things get much better than that.
The keyring was expensive though!!!!! I didn't fancy a shirt. How is this thread on 46 pages already? Wow it really has been an all nighter! Hope everyone enjoyed it, it was well worth the heartache trying to get a ticket and I did about 530!
Rock on!!!!
Seen Pearl Jam 4 times in London, once in Manchester, as well as an Eddie show at Hammersmith.
But I keep on listening... I close my eyes and I'm there... I open them and I'm a PJ setlist geek
I have 13 pounds of credit on this pay as you go SIM to use up over Rotterdam and Berlin before I switch over to my new pay monthly SIM, so the calls will keep coming
Sure to be more expensive when I'm calling while roaming outside UK, though!
115 bucks for half a haircut by a novice? I want my money back!
my wife said that once when i took her to one of my 'special' parties
That doesn't even warrant an answer...
true, but it did nearly make me spit my tea out on the keyboard...!
Oh yeah? Well, I've had about enough of morons and halfwits, dolts, dunces, dullards and dumbbells - and you chowderhead yokel, you blithering hayseed, you - you've had enough of me?
How fucking brill was Corduroy though? I love that tune and they hammered it. It was extremley happy days last night for all concerned. Apart from those who are moaning that some rare b-side wasn't played. Can't keep everyone happy but I think I will be right by saying that the majority were blown away.
I called my mom who I have got into Pearl Jam during Given To Fly, Eldery Woman, Better man and Ledbetter. She is now counting the microseconds until Manchester!
Rock on!!!!
