    Ed Solo Tour - 6/15/09 - Baltimore 2

My friend and I sat in box seats with Chris McCandless's sister, Carine, and her family... totally random coincidence; didn't realize it until he mentioned her during the show...

    Who?

Chris McCandless is the guy that made that voyage to Alaska..in Into The Wild.

sat in front of (and gushed to) cameron crowe as well as patrick warburton last year at ed's solo LA1. also saw phil jackson there.

Cameron and his wife Nancy were standing on the side of the stage at one of the two Irvine, CA shows in 2003.

enjoying this thread - lucky people!

I saw Tim Robbins but he was the opening band with PJ... for VFC 04. Saw his wife on the end stage, enjoying the show.

At the Vic - don't know the name of this person....but hubby said he was a surfer. He came down from above and talked to my hubby for a good 20-30 minutes... and he said he was coming back to talk some more, but never did.

EV's wife walked around in our spot, but we didn't try to approach her or said anything. She's absolutely breathtaking and in that dress - *whistles*. I was feeling ugly and fat... hehe. and slapping my hubby on the head for even thinking ANYTHING, which he denied. :P
JA: Why do I get the Ticketmaster question?
    EV: It's your band.

did you see him there?? Because I remember reading an article about how he was a big fan and was looking forward to seeing them, but one of the games were rained out and they had a doubleheader that day causing him to miss the show.

haha thats pretty funny, the doubleheader was the same day as east rutherford 2 in '06, which was a saturday. the reason i remember is im a die hard met fan and was watching game 1 of the doubleheader before i left for the concert. so if he did go to the jersey show it was the first nite.

Jews pray 3 times a day and need a quorum of 10 men for a prayer group (which is considered ideal).

I was in Boston1 in 2006 and we had 8 religious Jews for the afternoon service. I asked aloud if any Jews wanted to pray and some dude said "yeah, and matisyahu over there would probably be in too." So I saw him, called him over, and he was our 10th man.

Of course praying with him isn't noteworthy because I could have done that simply by spending any sabbath at his synagogue. what i found cool was that it was at a pj show.

turns out he was just there for my morning jacket though :-(

YES. and the other show was a thursday and the Mets had a night game, then Friday got rained out. Wright couldnt have been at the show. Because I remember the article that said he was looking forward to the show came out before the shows and I had said "he must be going after the day game because there is a game thurs night" and the orginal saturday game was during the day.

No, at the time he was a slightly different sect (lubavitch) and the rest of us weren't. So we would've had to adapt to his slightly different text. not a big deal, but in those cases someone from the majority tends to lead. turns out he's now no longer as connected to that sect and is more like us (ashkenazic).
also if i had never heard of him before, i would have thought he was too shy to lead. he didn't seem like a very outgoing person.

That's such a different celebrity experience. We've all seen them but how many of us have prayed with them???
I'm not a religous person but that's one service I'd hit.

At Matisyahu shows, he sends out his people to look for dudes in the crowd to pray with him before he performs......sounds like a cool experience!

In terms of Celebs at PJ shows...Ihave seen Brent Barry (huge fan...he often flies with the band), Pete Sampras (smoking a cig on the side of the stage in LV), Danny Masterson, John Doe (Fonda),

Aren't the Olsen twins fans and haven't they been spotted at MSG?

or did I randomly dream that? :?

they were definitely at MSG last year. I had friends who were sitting right near them. They had a handful of setlists and I guess got drunk and forgot them. My friend grabbed them and gave me one.

Irving plaza 06 I saw Tim Robbins, Sarandon, and Scott Ian from Anthrax.

I was in the same seats at MSG 2 that Sarandon and Robbins were in Night 1...saw the Olsen twins both nights as well. Eddie's pregnant gf and daughter were with Olsens in front of us at Night 2...have pics on my phone to prove it. Got setlist for Night 2 from Mary Kate's friend and drank a beer with Ashley's bodyguard who was off-duty on Night 2 (we rocked out during Black Diamond...im 6'9" 220lbs and this guy could've killed me with a roundhouse kick to the head)

I was sitting in the same section at MSG 2! Those were great seats!

toledo 2004 was crazy, tim and susan were registering people to vote. Also there was this other woman who turned out to be neil youngs wife. i stood right beside them. peter framton was also there and played with pj and neil. peggy sang backup when neil came out and all i could think of is that i wished i just said hi to her earlier. i say hi to almost everyone now.
