Celebs at PJ concerts

After reading the Judd Apatow thread, I thought it would be interesting to read any sightings/meetings of celebs at pearl jam concerts.

I was lucky enough to watch the entire show(pearl jam's set) at Aloha stadium in 06 with Laird Hamilton. He was really cool. He left after PJ's set and I knew he was likely going to hang with the band. I regret not asking him to take me with him.

    oh yeah, there was also that time the olsen twins showed up. and eds wife sat with giselle bundchen or something at the same show, there was a trashy blog about it

    I forgot to mention that I saw Chris Chelios and Brett Hall at Lolla 06. Apparently Chelios is a huge fan.

    At the second Ed Ved solo show last year in Chi-town, John Cusack, Sean Penn, and Chris Chelios (with the Stanley Cup) were all present.. Saw Penn and Chelios exit the back alley (seperately, and both seemed pretty lit up)..and touched the Stanley Cup..Sweet!! but no sign of Eddie.. oh well..

    I think some Phillies and Sixers players were at the Camden shows in 2003 and I'm pretty sure Theo Epstein was at the Boston shows in 2004. But maybe they're more considered athletes and not celebrities the way that's been written on this thread.

    Saw Kelly Slater, Laird Hamilton and Jeremy Piven all about 10 feet away from me w/in the ellipse at the PJ/U2 in 2006.

    Vince Vaughn, Owen Wilson and Kerry Wood at the Vic '07.

    Eddie solo last year in NYC was insane how many celebs were there. Apatow, Paul Rudd, Mark Messier, Springsteen and son, Tim Robbins/Susan Sarandon. . sure theere were others, but that's all I saw.

    Then, let's not even begin on how the damn Olsen twins are at every NYC show w/o fail.

    I saw Ron Silver at MSG, a number of weeks or months before he died. Also I think one or two of the Olsen girls was there too. From the tickets Ron had, I believe he was not part of the band's guests.

    You must have been really close to me in Hawaii? I was with Laird during PJ about 3-4 rows from the rail. I didn't notice Piven or Slater though.

    That's really cool about Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. Vince is one of my favorite actors. Sadly I was unable to make it inside the Vic. :cry:

    MSG 1 in '98 (9-10-98) michael j fox and his wife were "sitting" 2 rows in front of me. I say "sitting" cuz they were on their feet for the whole show just like everybody else. I'll never forget during the start of better man when it was quiet some drunk dude down the row from me yelled out "ALEX P KEATON!!!!!!!!!"

    I know Ed Byrne has been spotted at UK shows... he's an Irish Comedian for anyone who doesn't know :D
    Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

    ... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

    they were definitely at MSG last year. I had friends who were sitting right near them. They had a handful of setlists and I guess got drunk and forgot them. My friend grabbed them and gave me one.

    Irving plaza 06 I saw Tim Robbins, Sarandon, and Scott Ian from Anthrax.

    my friend commented on actually having a better seat than david crosby. :)
    meg ryan was up by the rail taking many, many pictures.... singing every word.

    I was definitely close to you then. No pun intended but Piven was with a big entourage. After a couple people asked him for pictures with them between PJ and U2's sets. . he said "Let's the fuck out of here" and promptly left the eliipse with his crew.

    piven played one character for 15 years and nobody ever noticed him and now he has a hit role, which is basically playing the same character, and now he acts too cool. how did his hair plugs look in person?

    Olsen Twins had an entire row next to me across the aisle and Danny Masterson (Hyde from "That 70's Show") was sitting behind me at East Rutherford in 2006. And various Philly athletes over the years (Randy Wolf, Mike Lieberthal, AJ Feeley, David Bell)

    Chris Martin from Cold Play sat two rows in front of us at MSG 2 last year.

    Hung out with Masterson at the aftershow party in East Rutherford....quiet guy.
    Sat next to Pete Sampras at Jones Beach in 2000
    Tim Robbins has been at countless PJ/EV solo shows - I escorted him to the proper door at NJPAC in Newark last year

    Chris Daughtry was at one of the MSG shows.
    Jim Dowd (NJ Devils) was at the East Rutherford show in 2006 (Super nice guy!!)

    Can't remember the others I've seen/bumped into at shows.

    I was in the same seats at MSG 2 that Sarandon and Robbins were in Night 1...saw the Olsen twins both nights as well. Eddie's pregnant gf and daughter were with Olsens in front of us at Night 2...have pics on my phone to prove it. Got setlist for Night 2 from Mary Kate's friend and drank a beer with Ashley's bodyguard who was off-duty on Night 2 (we rocked out during Black Diamond...im 6'9" 220lbs and this guy could've killed me with a roundhouse kick to the head)
