Okay, who the heck is going? Two shows in late September, I cannot wait. Weather should be picture perfect. For those going Sunday, will you be tailgating while watching football? Of course you will be.

My question: What time do the lots across the street open? I'd like to get there as early as possible but if the lots do not open until 12pm, then there's no reason to show up at 10am. I know for football games they're open early, but that's because the games are usually at 1pm. Does anyone know for sure what time you can set up to tailgate at the shows? I'm going to the Monday one and am hoping that lots will be open at noon, but I recently went to Tweeter and they didn't open until 3pm, thus are cracking down on drinking. Thanks for the info.

  • I have tickets to both shows. I am deciding whether I'm going to both or only the Monday night show.

I'm sorry, but I don't know anything about the times the lots open. I do know that getting there is a real bitch with all the traffic. I went to the Elton John & Billy Joel show a few weeks ago, and the traffic was backed up for miles on Route 1 out to Interstate 495. The U2 shows are going to have even more people since there are no seating sections closed off. EVERYONE GET THERE EARLY!!

I agree w/traffic and getting into the area around noon is a good idea. No..great idea. Did you notice what time the lots were opened for John/Joel or did you get there later in the day?

I don't know how this effect's this year's parking situation, but apparently last year lots didn't open until 1:30pm for a Kenny Chesney concert that began at 8pm.

actual seats on the opposite side of the GA, so in the endzone. I hope it will be awesome with the stage setup, hopefully just don't focus on playing to the people in the GA area. Got them in the presale after I struck out on the sunday show.

Probably leaving western mass around 1 or 2, gotta work a half day, hoping traffic won't be too bad arriving around 3

talked to a parking attendant for the Pats game Thursday and parking will open at 2pm for U2 (at least at the Rodman Ford lot).

Will be there for the Monday night show in GA with the girlfriend. First U2 show for me. The gf saw them on the Vertigo tour in Boston. Lookin' forward to it!!

But yea, the parking situation sucks at Gillette for those who have never been there. Get there early, park a mile down the road and walk to the stadium too, or you'll be paying 40 dollars to park in the venue lots.

That's the other thing. I went a few weeks ago for the Pats preseason game and just about every parking spot is $40 or $50. They've gone up this year. I saw one spot that was $30 but it was a mile before Papa Ginos.

Anyways, the stage looks awesome. T-minus less than three weeks!!!

I'm curious how many people are staying for the whole show and how many are leaving at the encore. They've been playing the same songs every show in the encore, so you kinda know what you're getting.

My daughters all really like them. Need I say more?

Mind you if I had a choice I'd prefer seeing Snow Patrol to U2.

I paid about $57 and I'm in the middle Mezz section, which is fine with me.
  • Check the stadium page:

Check a week or so before for lot times..there might be more information as the date draws closer.

I am going both nights as well. GA for both. One night i'll try to get as close as I can..the other I'll hang back and enjoy the massive stage etc.

will do...thanks for the link. By the way, it really is about $40 for most of the lots across the street from the stadium. I can remember when they were charging 20 bucks which wasn't that long ago. That is fucking retarded that my ticket almost cost as much as it is to park. Mansfield sucks, I know and I know they probably charge a bit more because parking is included, but it would never be another $40 to park at their lots. High way robbery.
