Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
  • Sunday evening the Moon Under the Water have booked a Pearl Jam tribute band - Pearl Jammed

    www.myspace.com/pearljammeduk

They are playing 2 sets, the first around 7.30pm with decent music between sets.

Should be a good night if there's a good turnout.

I'll just throw this in here and I'll stop spamming, I promise:

I'm selling my spare TM standing ticket... I managed to secure a seat and can't really afford to let this ticket go to waste. If you need one or know anyone in need of one...

Please PM me or look here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=106741

    Face value of course!

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

They played a pub in my town the other week, they're actually really good.

Where are they from? What did they play?

No idea where they're from as I didn't get a chance to speak to them - there was someone I hadn't seen in about 12 years there and we got chatting, before I realised it, it was 1am, the band were gone and the pub was closing!

Oh, and I was quite drunk...

    Thanks!

Though I feel fairly useless at the mo, have busted my neck and shoulder playing squash last night and am having trouble moving. This needs to resolve itself by Tuesday...

That does it, I may have to rush to the Moon Under Water as soon as I get to Manchester, train gets in at 20:10, so can be there by the start of the second set after checking in at the Travelodge. Bang goes my plan for a quiet chilled out evening!
