fell asleep last night to this thanks to husband putting on cold case. It was a nice surprise end to an emotionally turbulent day. Music can truly heal.
Closed my eyes, Joe's voice brings such comfort and dear memories. I love his voice, love, love, love, wrap me up in your voice.

Even though I can't stand the band, I have to give credit when they write a great song. This one is one great anti-war song with an intro from one of my ALL TIME top five movies~~~*Cool Hand Luke*. Some men you just can't reach...

On September 27, 1993, Duff explained where the song came from in an interview with the radio show Rockline: "Basically it was a riff that we would do at soundchecks. Axl came up with a couple of lines at the beginning. I went in a peace march, when I was a little kid, with my mom. I was like 4 years old. For Martin Luther King. The black armbands a sign of mourning, so the whole line asks whether we mourned for John Lennon as many others did at that time

That song, along with Estranged(and AfD obviously) really seals the fact for me that GnR is an all time great rock band.
Slash is a freaking God. Had the pleasure of bein on the rail between him and Weiland at a VR show and it's amazing seein somebody like him/them that close.
