Need I remind you about the 12/31/92 show that was included with the last album. That came from the vault and it was definitely not of the "highest quality".
uh, no, that DID NOT come from The Vault. that source had been circulating in the trading community for many years, and on top of it, there were flawed transitions (between tracks). do not judge The Vault recordings by 12/31/92. If any of you heard the Vegas 1993 show or the "Rats" from Orpheum, that is what I expect from The Vault (but in FLAC).
I can't help but laugh at the people who refuse to listen to audience recordings. There are some really really good audience recordings and they have only gotten better as the years go by. I think they are just spoiled with all the official boots.
not to mention that you cannot possibly know the history of this band without listening to their shows. a lot of what was said between songs or the mood of how the band performed tells you what was going on at that time. I will again reference the January 1995 Constitution Hall shows, and Ed's somber tone, and what he says about Dave and Jack, he was truly connected to the fans back then and those were very emotional shows for him because of the cause and the people he was surrounded by (IMO).
people who refuse to listen to the pre-2000 shows are really missing out, because this band will never be what it was from 1994-1996, just ripping, passionate performances night in and night out.
