10C Members Only Show in Australia (Updated - Email Agent!)

Dear Pearl Jam,

This is an official request to have a 10C only show on the Australian shores.

As a stadium tour has been announced (which sounds amazing) we are peacefully petitioning for a special one-off 10C members only show be added to the tour.

Members are extremely supportive and willing to travel to wherever it would be held. It would be great to tie in a charity with the show proposal too.

Come on everyone - let's show some support behind this and get a 10C only show in Australia! Strength in numbers!!!

An online petition has been created below and will run until 1 November 2009.

(I have contacted the 10C to notify them directly of the petition and they can view the signatures at any time which will allow them time for booking if it's approved)

    i support this cause... but the decisions would already be made!
    Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.

    :shock: My stomach plummeted when I saw this thread b/c I didn't get an email about it and thought I had been left out (It looks so official with the use of double astericks ** and capital letters.) Great show concept. I would just need to adopt an Aussie to get my tickets.

    You beat me to it. Good though. I had some crappy response form I was going to ask everyone to fill out with their location and where in the country they would fly to.

    I'd make sense to hold it in Sydney or Melbourne though as they're the most central locations for everyone to get to.

    Problem with doing more than just a board petition is - who is it really going to apply to?

    If the people it concerns don't even read The Porch, then how much of a 10C member are they really?

    It's not as if we could go out on the street and petition for the common folk - they're not even going to be invited!!!

    if you look around i think it's a very small percentage of ten clubbers who actually post on the board.

    there is no way to reach every 10 club member in Australia unless you can convince the 10 club to give you the email address of every aussie member, which i doubt very much will happen.

    What if the band were to section off the front center of the floors, and have that area be 10C only? I don't know any of these stadiums, but are the floors GA standing I presume?

    That is basically what they did in Dusseldorf in '07. I thought it was a great idea!

    Isn't there a dedicated website to making petitions that we can have people sign, send on to friends etc and then forward that to 10C? This thread is never going to get enough exposure, especially from the 20 or so Aussies that ever post on here.

    Personally - the Sydney Opera House accoustic would be amazing. I'm in Bris, I don't care about the travel!!
