OK so I was completely wrong on the movie as its actually One Million Years BC that the image is from.
Look at the hand placement, and outfit. Looks to be same thing.
Wow, good call.
The one on the right is Ursula Andress from Dr. No
and the one on the left is... maybe Uhura from Star Trek?

I love #9, reminds me of our waterbed and how comfortable and cozy it was.
"I'd rather be with an animal." "Those that can be trusted can change their mind." "The in between is mine." "If I don't lose control, explore and not explode, a preternatural other plane with the power to maintain." "Yeh this is living." "Life is what you make it."
it seems like all the images are taken out o pop culture history...
going in order that the game went
1= stand by me
2= i dunno but anyone else notice that the cycle in the background is on the opposite side that the cycle in The Fixer single cover is on?
3=the prestige? (any famous magic movie really)
4= the little mermaid?
5= something...
6= kinda represents the MTV astronaut
7= Gilligan's Island...the TV kind of looks like Kitty from That 70's Show
8= mix between charlies angels and starsky and hutch? was there a black pimp in charlie's angels? i'm much to young to really know those shows well...
9= i'm having trouble with this one as well
After looking at it, I noticed that the 9 squares are opposites of each other. and there is almost an imaginary line you can see like a game of tic-tac-toe going one across and diagonally both ways.
the opposites are: space and sea, fire and water, peace and disturbance. there's obviously some other stuff there, what did anyone else think of???
(i know there's another thread, but it didn't seem to get too far over there, aside from the raquel welsh discovery)

May I suggest you post this again in that other thread - keep it alive and bringing in the deep thinkers!

About the cover..."It's dreams and memories" - Tom Tomorrow.

ha, ha. but seriously it's obvious that Tom diliberately made the artwork puzzling. So that we may be questioning this and questioning that. Yeah, of course there's a few references and clues, but overall it's meant to be stared at and thought about. theories will abound! stuff we'll never get the meaning of. makes for a great cover I guess. one that we'll at least look at while listening to the album. (rather than one which you look at once, and then look away & not care about).

Looks like the inspiration for the brain artwork.
They both have small mouths!

Tom Tomorrow sort of looks like a Who. Like one from Whoville.
Scroll down the page a bit.

They resemble concert posters the boys have done in the past, wonder if they will be available at each show with tour dates etc...

Stone looks like he is posing for one of those class pictures you took in 1st grade.
Wow. Mike is starting to look old.
I'm really glad none of the artwork is politically motivated. As Stone has said this will be a refreshing change of pace from the last two records.

I seriously laughed out loud at this whenever I looked at it again. I'm glad I've got my own office so I don't sound crazy to the old coworkers.
I'm still laughing just thinking about it.
